Friends - (Workshop Layout)

Ok ladies this is our layout for Saturday nights workshop.
This layout is of my two boys, Riley and Harley along with
there friend Hayley. The photos were taken at the Halls Gap
play ground.

Everything used on this layout is from Scraptopia. Kylie stocks
lots of American Crafts and Basic Grey. I just love her range.

Great Grandparents

Wow, I love this layout. I wish some times I could have known
others in my family. Known more about them. I look at some
pictures that have been passed down to me and wonder, Who
are you, what were you like. Some I have names for and a few
story's.  For some family members remember the person being
a best friend off..... or family friend that they know the name or
remember a little about.

I love to scrap them and my boys ask lots of questions when I
do. It's a shame I don't have all the answers. It's a shame our very
own history can get left behind unknown and untold. I love this
page of my Great Grandparents though. I remember a little of my
Great Grandmother and that I shall treasure. But not my Great
Grandfather, he had passed away before I was born.

I did this layout from a sketch at My Scraps and More. The design
was by Kristine Davidson. I just love her sketches and this one I
think was just right for me.

I have used card stock and Timeless Classic printed papers from
KaiserCraft. Sizzix die, Prima flower, Die-namics die and
Stampin up ink. The letters are from American Thickers.

Flight to Remember

This joy flight was so much fun. The boys and I will take this
memory with us for ever. We just wish it could have been longer
but that was not possible with the weather they were having at
Mildura. Because the heat was extreme we had to go early in the
morning and it was very hazy and also a lot of smoke.
We didn't mind though.

The light plane in my layout is a RW Laser Cut, the clouds and
sun are Quickutz dies. Letters are American Thickers and the
small letters are Cre8tive. The inks are Stamin Up.

I did this layout from the sketch below at
Lets Capture Our Memories.

Fishing

If there is one thing my boys love it is to go fishing. It doesn't
matter if it is the banks of the Murray River, a dam on our farm
or a neighbors. They just love to bait the hook and catch some
fish. If they can be eaten that's even better.

I did this LO for the Let's get Sketchy,
January week 3 challenge

Harvest Time.

I'm so happy with how this layout has come up. Boy was I out
of my comfort zone doing it. I'm far from one who likes to use
the colors orange and yellow. I avoid them all the time and I
would not try to make them prominent in my layouts. In any
of my farming layouts I would go for the neutral earth tones
normally. So for me this is a big :) for the end result.

I have used Scrap FX for the wheat embellishment, KaiserCraft
rub on bird,  journal tag, brads and pearls. The barb wire is from
Dusty Attic. The papers are KaiserCraft and Basic Grey.

I have also used Kaiser rub ons for the thistles and we do get
these in our paddocks. It is hard work farming, but my husband
lives and breaths this life. He also enjoys seeing me putting his
passion into my layouts.

The reason I have taken myself out of my comfort zone with these
colors is for a challenge with Njoyful Crafts - Colours of Nature.
I had to choose colors from a sunrise photo. I loved the photo and
thought if anything was going to challenge me it would be these
colors. Yes it was a challenge but a very enjoyable one with I think
a wonderful result.

Happiness

I love these photos of my boys Riley and Harley taken when
we were away on holidays.

I used card stock, cre8tive printed 12x12 papers, KaiserCraft
pearl flourish, Hooked on craft flowers and EK Success punch.
I loved using the large black Cre8tive flowers and the Kaiser
wood flourish. Dies are so fun to use and I enjoyed making
the banner. I used cre8tive alphabet letter and the striped
paper is Sandylion papers.

It was so much fun doing this design from the wonderful layout
for Let's Get Sketchy, Challenge 2 Week 2

Hello everyone

Well hello everyone. The heat we are facing here in Australia at the moment is relentless. Nothing but hot, hot, hot. all of a sudden we get a day a little cooler and as we think yes its stopped, back it comes. There is no escape. Air conditioner running all the time. Fans in bed room flat out and we get little sleep.

We had a fire about 20kms from our home yesterday. Our wonderful CFA had it in control very fast. None the less our fire plan was activated. Today was a total fire ban but all went smooth in our area.

On our home front.....Grrrrrr, my beautiful boys are getting a little cranky. What do I do? Early bed and they get no sleep, stay up in the cool and they get no sleep? Maybe......camera where are you? Bahahaha bad mum is thinking some very natural photos of faces that I have not put on a 12x12 before. I'm guessing all you mums know the ones I mean. Hehehehe, I'm off now to find the camera.

Please come back and have a look at my blog again. A couple of my latest layouts will be going up in the next few days. Please stay safe and god bless you all. Happy crafting.

Janjuc - Sandcastles

Riley and Harley just love to get to the beach over the holidays.
It is the same each time they go. Body boarding and hours of
sand castles. They are both in hope of another trip to the beach
when Dad has next week off because harvest is finished.

Banner die, rub ons, card stock along with paper from my scrap
from my scrap bag (New years resolution, to use scrap bag) and
American Crafts Thickers were used to put this page together.

Happy Birthday - Card

I just adore this card. I have made it putting together a
Stamping Station Kit (Little Girl), Card stock, Pebbles
(Chalks), KaiserCraft patterned papers, Kate Knight
patterned papers, Stamping up ink (Chocolate) and two
American markers (Purple plum and Pink).
This is the other card I have decided to submit to the
design team call for Beyond Grey Challenges.

Many Happy Returns - Card

I have made this card to submit in the design team call
for Beyond Grey Challenges. I'm very excited to be
submitting for this. If successful I will be in for a
lot of fun.
The card has been made with card stock, Martha Stewart
punch, Prima patterned paper, KaiserCraft stamp (Bonjour)
Stamping Up ink (Chocolate), Jenni B Collection heart,
and flowers by Bella.

Spooky Hollow

One of my New Years Resolution this year was to
get into my scrap bag and use the bits and pieces
of paper.  I used a Quick Kutz die (Tree and Birds)

From that I have come up with this design for
                                                                  Kristine Davidson
                                                      Creative Scrappers sketch No 241

Life - Love

This is a layout of the boys with me. The leaves are a Kaiser
stamp and I have cut them out. The flowers I hand made and
inked the edge with Tim Holtz Distress ink (Frayed Burtlap).
The papers I used were all from my scrap bag. I decided 2013
was going to be the year I used some of my scraps up. The
pearls are also from Kaiser Craft.

I did this design for Let's Get Sketchy
January Challenge week 1.
