The Witching Hour

Hello all and welcome to my blog and my tutorial post for Off The Rails Scrapbooking. I don't personally take part in Halloween but my youngest son and his school friends have a dress up day and I always make sure I get some photos. My page is of to of my girlfriends children Miss Meghan (and you see many pages I do for her) and Hunter. For us and them it's not abut celebrating Halloween it is about dressing up and having fun. There were many fun characters sen on the day.  I thought this photo went well with the challenge theme. My page was created from the mood board picture below.

Besides my Kaisrcraft white cardstock and my G45 patterned papers - An Eerie Tale Collection, I didn't use a lot of other products and I love the way the page has come up.

I started by spraying my background with Distress Marker - Fired Brick with the air sprayer. I then used Distress Spray Stain - Fired Brick and let it run over the cardstock. Once this was done I decided I would rip up the patterned papers which were then placed over the top of the spraying.

Once this was done I die cut out and put all my pieces together and then used some chalk on them.I cut two circles, sprayed them with Distress Marker - Scattered Straw and then inked the edges with Distress Ink - Scattered Straw. These are my moons.

Once this was done it was time to put it together and then add some little spiders hanging from the sliver webs. To finish off I coloured with a black Copic the Alpha Chippies by Kaisercraft for the title. Once they were placed on the page I then coloured them with a Wink Of Stella - Silver.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my page and how it was created. Please have a look at what the other DT members have been creating and also remember to join in the challenge, you could be the lucky winner of this months prize by Memory Maze.

I hope you have enjoyed my page and stopping over. Please call over to Off The Rails Scrapbooking and join in the fun with us and see what the rest of the design team have been creating.
Until my next post have fun and may your mojo flow. xxx

You Are Amazing

Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog as always. Today I would like to share with you my latest DT page created for the monthly challenge over at Let's Get Sketchy. The very cute boy in my photo is my son Harley who is very close to turning 13. Oh no the teenage years lol. This photo was taken when he was 5, it doesn't seem that long ago so where have the years gone.
Anyway now it's time for the sketch and my take, hope you like it.

I chose to do my page on white cardstock and the stunning patterned paper are from the Kaisercraft - Off The Wall Collection. My background stamps are both by Kaisercraft - Stains and Arty and on both I used Stazon Jet Black Ink.

The words around the photos are from the Kaisercraft matching sticker sheet. The wooden sign with I love you is also by Kaisercraft and I have coloured it with white paint and then lightly streaked the ink from a blue Copic (Ultramarine) over it.

The chippie title and hearts are by Dusty Attic and I coloured it in the same method as the wooden flourish sign. The patterned papers I inked the edges with the Jet Black ink.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my page and please hop on over to the Let's Get Sketchy blog and have a look at the other inspiration from the design team and join in the fun.

Cherish

Hello and a huge welcome to my blog. My post is for my DT position over at Let's Get Sketchy. The photo I chose to use is of my very special son Harley. He is such a cuddly young man and growing up so fast. He is my funny boy and always manages to make me smile. This is a great sketch to work with so please call on over to the Let's Get Sketchy blog and join in with us.

Now for my take on the sketch.

I created the page on Cream Cardstock and the patterned papers are by Kaisercraft - Lady Rose Collection. I also used the stickers from the same rang sticker sheet. I inked the edges of the papers with a brown Distress Ink. Around each of the triangles patterned papers I used a black journal pen to do my journaling.

On my background I used a Kaisercraft Clear Stamp - Tiny Dots and also in my Tim Holtz air sprayer I used a Distress Marker - Peeled Paint. It is a perfect colour to go with the green in the foliage on the patterned papers.

(Check out that smile - Love this boy of mine so much.)

In the background I also sprayed some Colour Blast - Shimmer Spray - Gold Bling. My word chippie title is by Scrapmatts and I used my Distress Marker - Peeled Paint to colour it and the placed some Wink of Stella - clear over it. The only other thing I used on this page was a corner punch for the photo and tags at the edge of the photo.

Please hop on over to Let's Get Sketchy and join in the fun. Remember there are 4 sketches that you can join in on so there is loads of fun and creativity to have. I look forward to seeing what you create. Thanks for stopping in, I have enjoyed sharing with you.

Handsome

Hello crafty friends welcome to my blog and my DT post for Meg's Garden, for my page I have used the Vintage Journal A4 patterned papers.
I have created my page with a photo of my eldest son Riley. The photo was taken when we were on holidays and he dressed in period costume for photos. They are perfect for these vintage papers and I loved the book on them as he is also a book worm.

Once I had cut out the different patterned papers I inked the edges with Distress Ink and I did my journaling with  a brown journal pen.

The book I have fussy cut from the patterned papers and I also used a little ink on the edge of it too. The title and string frame are by Dusty Attic and i have coloured them with a Distress Marker I used the same Distress Marker to spray my background.

I love these papers so much, they look wonderful with or without much in the way of embellishments on  them. I chose to use little with them for this page and to let them speak for themselves.
I hope you have enjoyed looking at my page and please have a look at what the other design team have been creating over at the Megs Garden Blog, there is so much beautiful work from very talented ladies. You will seeing what they have created with such beautiful products and papers.
