Together

Hello crafty friends and welcome as always to my blog. Today I would like to show you my DT layout that I have created for Let's Capture Our Memories. This layout is of my Grandma and Grandpa. They were very young when this photo was taken.

As always at Let's Capture Our memories we have a great sketch to work with.

I created the layout on Kaisercrafts Specialty paper - Secret Garden Collection. On this I used Distress Spray Stain - Vintage Photo and it brings out the beautiful texture in the paper.  The patterned papers I used are by Maja Design - Vintage Autumn Basics. I loved working with these papers they are just beautiful in their design and colour.

The vintage lady, flowers and clock I have fussy cut from the patterned papers and then raised the lady up with dimension tabs.

The Paris Lamp Post chippie is by - Twiddleybitz and I coloured it with Distress marker - Walnut Stain and for the light bulbs I used a Copic - E33.

For my title I chose a Memory Maze chippie - Together and thought it was perfect for the photo as my Grandparents were always together. I coloured it with the Distress Marker - Walnut Stain as well. Around the outside of my layout I used some cream X-Press It paper deco tape and a Distress Marker - Aged Mahogany for the stitching.

I hope you have enjoyed my take on the sketch and that you hop on over to the Let's Capture Our Memories blog, check out the other Design Team inspirations and join in the fun. We would love to see you. Thank you for stopping by. May your mojo flow.

Picture Perfect Memories

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. Today I would like to show you a layout I have created for Scrapbooking and Keepsakes
The papers I have used are Kaisercrafts - Secret Garden Collection. This is my second layout with these papers and if you scroll now to the post below you will see that it is very girly, but this layout is the same papers and collectables but very much boy. They are an awesome paper range for this.

I have also used this layout for the challenge over at Lasting Memories. It is a great challenge -
Challenge #250 - Use 3 or more different patterned papers.

I chose to do the layout on black cardstock with a black & white photo. I think it made the papers pop out just a little more and also the photo. I love it when your eye goes right to the picture first and I think I have achieved that with this layout.

I have inked around the patterned papers with Distress Ink - Black Soot. The flourish chippie is by Fab Scraps and I coloured it with a Distress Marker - Peeled Paint. If you don't have the Distress markers then you can use the same colour in Distress Ink or Spray.

My title is a Scrap FX Chippie and I also used Distress Ink - Peeled Paint on it. The other thing I decided to do was a little bit of stitching with my journal pen.

I hope you have like a look at my layout of my son Riley and the difference the one paper packed can make. It has been great having you call in and please call again.
Happy Crafting.

Treasured Moments

Hello again crafty friends. Today I would like to show you a DT layout I have done for Scrapbooking and Keepsakes. I got to scrap some lovely friends using a beautiful patterned paper range by Kaisercraft - Secret Garden Collection.

I also used the collectables from this range also and it was all created on the Secret Garden Specialty Paper. It is a beautiful white paper and when sprayed and wiped off you are left with a beautiful floral pattern from the paper range.

The only other three things I used on this layout are Prima Colour Spray - Pressed Petal, Distress Ink - Walnut Stain and The Secret Garden Collection clear stamp.

Even my title Treasured Moments is from the Collectable pack and I have used a little of the Walnut Stain on it so it blended in a little more.

I hope you have enjoyed my layout and please remember that everything I have used on this layout is available online at the Scrapbooking & Keepsakes Store or you can go in person to the shop and catch up with Pat. You can find her at The Harold St Shopping Center, Harold St, Wendouree.
Happy Crafting.

BRAVE, Courageous, FEARLESS

Welcome to my blog and my post for Let's Get Sketchy. I loved this sketch and I'm sure you will too so after having a look here please call to the blog, get some more inspiration from the design team and join in the fun. This is the sketch you will be working with.

This is my take on the sketch and I have used FabScraps patterned paper to create it. My base paper is Coredinations Texture white wash Collection Paper.

When shopping with a friend (Chez) I found my title chippie and new at once that it was for a page for my mum (Helen). I have never known anyone so Brave, Courageous and Fearless. She will always be my life inspiration. Her battle with cancer continues and she will never give in, never give up. To be a cancer patient I now know you must be all three things and I admire her and all others with this disease. You fight so hard for the boys, dad and me and I love you so much mum.

The chippie is by Scrap FX and I have inked it with Distress Ink - Weathered Wood and then used a little Archival Pigment Ink - Moonlight White in spots on it.

The flowers are Little Birdie and are handmade. I used Distress ink - Weathered Wood to ink the edges of my papers and also on my background to show up the textured paper design.

The collectables are by Kaisercraft - Betsy's Couture Range and the colours matched in well with the papers and flowers. The gold in the background is Irresistible Texture Spray - Gold. The little bits of stitching have been done with my journal pen.

I hope you have enjoyed my layout and please hop on over to the Let's Get Sketchy Blog and join in the fun. There is more than just this sketch to join in on this month.

Cherish Life

Morning all and welcome again to my. The July challenge has been posted for 123 Challenge blog so it is time for me to reveal my layout to you with details of the products I have used. Again I have done a layout of myself and I think I would have to say I'm now ok with doing them of myself.

Please when you call to the 123 Challenge Blog to get some more inspiration from the design team then go to create remember to use the three (3) requirements for your layout.
This is my take on the challenge.

I decided for this challenge I would create my layout on white as I think it shows the fluros up great. When this challenge was told to us I had sitting on my scrap desk a fluros ribbon hair tie. Like all good crafty girls I looked at and smiled. Would I cut up my new hair tie or would I go to my many ribbons in my stash. My hair tie was already twirled for me......Ok hair tie it is and as you can see I no longer have this hair tie, hehehe.
Since I have used a few things for this layout I will just list them and make it easier for you not to have to read so much.

Mother (Mini Album)

Hello all and welcome once again to my blog. I'm sorry I haven't been able to get my posts done but I'm away in Stawell at the moment while my eldest son Riley attends music school. I have been have internet problems, Grrrr. It looks like it is fixed now.
The post I would like to show you is my latest DT post for Megs Garden. I made the album as gift for my beautiful mum (Helen). She is also my best friend and my world.

This album is very special to me and I have been so lucky to be able to use two different paper ranges and some very beautiful embellishments form Meg's Garden store.

One of the papers I chose to use are from The French Garden Collection. My mum has always had a love of the colour green and I knew that she would love these papers and that Choosing to use the bird bath for the cover she would love.
The fabric flowers are Wild Moss and are a perfect match for the green in the patterned papers.

I just love this paper love heart doily, so elegant. The fabric flowers on this page are Bridal Veil and work so well with the doily. The verse and cute angle picture are cute from the Fairy Land Collage papers
On the page below I once again used one of the paper doily's - Mini square. I inked it with Distress Ink to bring in mums favorite colour again since the baby photo is of mum. Again using the Wild Moss Fabric Flowers. The clock I have fussy cut from the 12x12 Collage papers - Old World Time.

Again I have fussy cut another of the clocks and this timer I have used a Paper Lace Strip. The picture of the beautiful lady is From the collage paper - Vintage Beauties and there a quite a few different picture to pic from and fussy cut out.  The flowers are Paper Azaleas and Viola Posy - pale pink.
On the opposite page I fussy cut a shoe from Put On Your Dancing Shoes. Behind it I place a photo of mum and made it so I can journal on the back. I also cut another tag and place one of the transparencies over to the top.

 Now for my next page.

I just love this photo of mum and I. Again I have used the Paper Lace Strip and inked it with Distress ink. This time I added a little of the green ink to the paper Azaleas and then coloured the stamen centers green to match in. The butterfly has been fussy cut from The Forgotten Meadows - Cut and Create sheet
On the adjoining page I used a butterfly oval laser cut frame. The flowers I coloured with Copics and the outside of the frame I used Viva Croco Crackling. The Cotton Lace is just beautiful and I placed one of the clock that I fussy cut out just coming out from behind the photo.

I just love the lace I have used behind this photo of mum, it is stunning. On the opposite page I have used one of the Bond Square doilies and folded it to make an envelope which I placed tags in. This butterfly has also been fussy cut.

Each of the tags have been cut from the ATC papers -  Vintage French Floral Postcards,  Vintage Ornate Tags and once again the Put On Your Shoes page.

This photo of mum, dad and my two sons Riley and Harley was taken at Christmas time. It is deferentially one of my favorites. On the opposite page I have fussy cut the flowers and clock from  the Mad Tea Party papers and razed it up with dimensions squares. The chippie butterfly is by Scraptopia and I coloured it with Copics.

My next page is of mum and my youngest son Harley.

To create the bow I used Jute Ribbon. I have fussy cut the flowers, butterflies, tags and the word treasure from the patterned papers. The doily is from a die in my die stash. On the opposite page I created a pocket and die cut some tags and I will be using them to journal on the back off.

These are my final two pages before I show the back cover. I love these two pages. The flowers, lace and the fussy cut lady - Vintage Bathing Bellie No 6  have all worked well together I think.

Well I hope you have all liked my Mini Album/Book for my mum (Helen). Please check out the store there are so many goodies. Dont forget to keep coming back to the blog and having a look at what everyone on the design team has been up to.
For now though my back cover (Which I chose to leave plain) and Happy Crafting.
