Captured Moments

Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog. It seems at the moment that time is getting away from me with mum being sick. When she was in hospital in Melbourne it was the traveling back and forth. I thought once we got her home again things would settle a little. But no I'm find I'm just as busy, but at the moment I think that is good to be this busy and it is so nice to only have to just go up the road to be with her. I'm over the moon she is home and we can be with her when ever we want.

My second bit of news is about my son Riley. He has been given a wonderful opportunity to attend the Wimmera Bands Group 45th Music School. Oh wow how proud is this mum and his Grandma. His brother is proud (Harley) but also thinks Riley is strange in the head lol. The reason for this is the School runs for 7 days, which includes Saturday and Sunday from 9am (Sharp) - 5pm. Even worse is it's on the first week of the school holiday. My boys are chalk and cheese. Riley is so excited and can't wait to go. He loves school, swimming and his music. He plays the saxophone.

Now that I have covered my news it is time for my DT post for Let's Get Sketchy. Another great sketch and as always I love it. I have finally got used to doing layouts of myself now and this is another I have created for the sketch below.

Now for my take on it.

I created my layout on light brown cardstock and I used tow different patterned papers. Fab Scraps - Heritage Script & Heritage Script 2 and Graphic 45 - Little Darlings. I inked the edges with Distress Ink - Black Soot.

To create the background I used Tim Holtz stencil - Gothic, I love this stencil. I mixed a little Distress Ink Spray - Broken China and Evergreen with the Modeling Paste to go on the stencil. The stamp is Kaisercrafts - Chicken Wire and I used Black Soot - Distress Ink on it.

Also in my background is Imagine Crafts - Irresistible - Tuxedo Black, these sprays are my new love. To be honest though there are no sprays I don't like. These sprays stay raised up and have a shinny look when dry, they look sort of rubbery. (The best way I can explain them)
My title is by Scrapmatts Assorted Words and I coloured it with a Black Copic.

The doily die is by Our Daily Bread designs and the flowers are by Petaloo - Penny Lane Garden Collection-Ruffled Roses - Teal and Sithouette. The others mall ones are paper flowers.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my latest creation and that you pop on over to the Let's Get Sketchy Blog and join in the fun. I would love to see your creation there. Also check out what the other designers have been up to, there creations and take on the sketch are beautiful.

Until my next post I hope your mojo is running, happy crafting. xxx
