See Me Dance

Well here I am again with another layout to show you another layout and this one is for my DT position over at 123 Challenge Blog. As you all know it is a fun blog to join in on as you only have to follow three requirements -  Colour, Word and Technique. Don't forget though to be in the running for an awesome prize you must do the three requirements. For my technique I chose to use an embossing folder and then ink over the pattern I have embossed. If you have a look at the other DT ladies creations you will see that some have chose to use embossing powder and some both. You can choose one or both as well and still qualify. So join in the fun.

This is my take on the challenge and the picture is of the beautiful Miss Meghan, the daughter of a very special friend who was very lucky to have Santa bring her a new ballet dress.  I cut Meghan from the photo as I didn't want the Christmas Tree in it :)

I created my layout on Kaisercraft cardstock and I also used the same cardstock to emboss on. The embossing folder I used is by QuickKutz - Roseand agter I had embossed it I then sprayed it with Distress Spray Stain - Evergreen Bough and then with Distress Ink - Peacock Feathers I inked over the top to make the embossed roses stand out and match in with the color in the challenge.

The ballet dancers and the word dance are chippies by Fab Scraps. The required word See and the word me have been cut from other chippies in my stash by Scraptopia. I coloured the chippies with a Green Copic. The clocks I have stamped behind the embossing are by Hot Off The Press - Timeless and I used Distress Ink - Gathered Twigs.

To create my back ground I used a Maya Road Stencil with Modeling Paste and when it was dry I went over it with Distress Ink - Peacock Feathers. I sprayed the cardstock with Dylusions Spray Ink - Campso Teal. I also flicked some of it on the page to make the splatter spots.

The chippie word Ballet is also by Fab Scraps. The flowers I have used are a mix of paper flowers (Available through Scrapbooking Keepsakes) that also include - Kaisercrafts minis and blooms. The white flowers I inked with a little Distress Ink - Gathered twigs and then placed a Kaisercraft Sparklets (Sea Breeze) in the center.

The fern die I used is by Couture Creations and the little Aqua pearls I have used are by Kaisercraft.

I just love these bellet shoes. They are so cute and it is great that you can colour them what ever colour you need them to be.

I hope you have enjoyed stopping into my blog and having a look at my work. Please call to the 123 Challenge Blog and join in the fun and maybe win yourself some goodies.

Happy Crafting xxx
