ATC Album Cover

As always welcome to my blog. Today I would like to show you something a little different for me. I have altered an old 3 ringed binder into a new one for my ATC Swap Cards. I have just stared to do ATC and they are fun to do and see what others have created when you get them back. I didn't have an album to put them in just the pocked and that got me thinking. I had a three ringed binder that used to have knitting patterns in. Long gone were the patterns and I kept the binder as I thought one day I might need it for something. I was right, it fitted the card pockets just perfect. 

I then decided it was time to get creative and more creative than I had one before. Time to pop out of my comfort zone and get messy and boy did I get messy. This is what I come up with - 

For my first attempt I'm so happy. Chippies, buttons, plaster mesh, brass embellishments, flowers, sprays and the list goes on and this is my end result.

Against the album I have placed a couple ot the ATC that I have created. Because I have used so many different things and all over the place I have decided to show the closeups and just list the products I have used. 

On the inside I decided to just use White Gesso and Sprays. I also did the same on the back over.

Well that's it for my first attempt and I have two boys that would love me to make a boy one each. Harley wants me to do a cover for his sketch book and Riley for his journal. Looks like in between my layouts I will be doing some work for them. I have picked up a few bits and pieces at Paper Art Tarts on the weekend. More messy fun ahead.

Love That Smile.

Hello all and welcome to my blog. Today I would like to show you my latest DT layout over at 

Let's Get Sketchy. 

The layout is to be part of an album I'm creating for a friend in America and this is her son and what a sweetheart he is. He has the most beautiful smile but it is also on the cheeky cute side I think.

The layout has been created to the sketch below.

This is my take of the sketch. 

All the products on this layout are by Kaisercraft. The patterned papers are Shaken But Not Stirred.

For my title I have used cut out of the black card stock with the word die and for the small letters I used the Alpha Sticker Sheet - Ebony. I inked the edges with Kaisers Black Ink.

The other cardstock I used is Cookie and I sprayed on it with the new Kaiser mist Spray - Red. My embellishments are from the Sine Bright Collectables and they are perfect for a little man who is shinning bright. 

The challenges over at the Let's Get Sketchy are great and there is still plenty of time to get your creative on and join in so please pop over and have a look at not only this sketch but the others. Talented Grandma

Hello crafty friends, I would like to show you the layout I have created for the challenge over at Scrapbookit. This month they have a great challenge and one I love - Family. 

 

I chose to do a layout of my Mum who is and always will be the head of our family. She is always the one we turn too. The one who is always there and never anywhere but where we need her. 

In this photo she is listening to some of Harley's music. 

The patterned papers I used by Kaisercraft - On Stage Collection were just perfect for this photo. Mum was quick to tell me when she looked at it that records were all the go in her day lol. The chippie is by WOW. The music notes are from a die. 

The microphone was fussy cut from the papers and the words were also cut from them.

Beach Huts

Hello and a warm welcome to my blog. I would like to show you my DT layout for

Let's Capture Our Memories. Over at the blog you will find the Design Team inspirations along with mine and the sketch. It is a great sketch and I know you will have fun joining in. 

This is my take on the sketch.

When on our holidays in January we spent a lot of time at the beach on the Mornington Peninsular and these beautifully coloured beach huts were everywhere. Some in small groups and others in very long rows. I went camera crazy so you will be seeing more at another stage. 

The patterned papers I chose are by Kaisercraft - Seaside Collection. The printed chipboard and canvas tags are also from the same collection. The wooden anchor and beach umbrella are also by Kaisercraft. The anchor I have left natural but I used the patterned papers on the umbrella along with Kaisers Fusion BR05. To in the edges of my patterned paper I used Distress Ink - Gathered Twigs. For my title I used the word Beach from the chipboard collection and the word Hut is from Provo Craft Alpha Sticker sheet.

In the corner I used an Urban Artist Stencil - Corner Flourish and used some Impasto Gell Medium, then inked it with Distress Ink - faded Jeans. When this was done I then placed some Kindy Glitz - Crystalina on it. I thought it give it a little bit of a wave look. Over this I placed some of the Kaiser chipboard and then over that my journaling.

Notes Holder

Hello again and welcome to my blog. Today I would like to share with you my notes holder I created for my DT post at Meg's Garden. The beautiful range we are creating with over at Meg's Garden at the moment is the Forgotten Meadow Collection. Wow is this a beautiful collection. Such lovely flowers and the colours of the papers are very pretty. 

The beautiful patterned paper I chose to use is - Wisteria Shade and I covered the Kaiser Notes holder with it. The cut and create sheet is what I chose to fussy cut the beautiful mauve/purple flowers from along with the butterflies.

 To colour the edges of the timber I used a Kaiser Fusion and I inked the edge of my Wisteria Shade patterned paper with Distress Ink - Shaded  Lilac.

 

 

This beautiful girl makes me smile when I look at her. The wonderful thing is she comes on the Vintage French Girls 2 - A4 sheet of nine and there are other sheet designs to choose from too.  I love it when I look at craft work and there is a face there with a sweet look or smile.  

 

 

This little shelf is so you can stand your notes on it. I coloured this with the Fusion as well and then place some of the gorgeous Cream Lace over the top. I always love to use flowers when I can so I decided to use these beautiful white Azaleas. There are a lot of different Charms to choose from but I liked the gold Flying Bird.

 

 

As you can see I have fussy cut the butterfly from the papers and I also used an Antique Champagne Tassel on each end. These are great because they come in a strip that you can get at what ever length you want. But you can also use then individually if you want just like I have.

On this side instead of another butterfly I chose to use one of the small Ivory Rose flower.

My New Ride LOL

Hello all you lovely crafty people and welcome to my blog. I would like to share with you a layout I have created for April challenge over at 123 Challenge Blog.  As always over at the blog the challenge has three requirements. 

This is my take on the challenge.

This gorgeous girl is my girlfriends daughter Miss Meghan. She is such a happy, friendly and beautiful girl and I love her so much. This photo was taken for dress up day at school and she travels on my school bus. I'm lucky I get to see all the fun things she does. 

This photo shows all three requirements of the challenge. Colour - Hot Pink, Word - LOL, Technique - grid.  I created my layout on white cardstock. With this layout I didn't use any patterned papers except for the leaf stems which were die cut from G45 patterned paper - Once Upon A Spring Collection.. The other three colours I chose to create my grid (diamond) were black, violet and bubblegum cardstock. I inked the edges with Distress Ink - Black Soot. I also used hot pink washi tape and Kaisercraft black lace.

Family

Welcome as always to my blog. I would like to wish each and everyone of you a Happy Easter and may God watch over you and your loved ones today and always.

Now for my layout. I have created this layout for my DT position over at Scrapbooking & Keepsakes.

This month Pat has given me a lovely kit to work with, The Upstairs Downstairs range by Ruby Rocket. The tange comes with patterned papers, tags, oval felt ornate frame, black square ornate frame, 24 journal sheets and lace. Below is my first creation with the kit.

This beautiful photo is of two of my girl friends children Meghan and Jack. I love this photo of them, it shows so much love and happiness in their smiles.

I have placed the oval ornate frame over the photo, then placed it on a round chippie that I had covered with the patterned paper. I then placed this on a doily and I lightly coloured the edges of it with Distress Ink - Black Soot. My title chippie is by Dusty Attic and I coloured it with a black Fusion by Kaisercraft. I then placed a brass heart and cream paper flower beside it and coming out from this I used Eva Creative Pearl Flourish. 

The tag embellishments are from the kit and I have inked around the edges with Distress Ink - Black Soot. The clocks coming out from behind the patterned paper which I punched with a Fiskars Boarder Punch and inked are by Hot Off The Press - Timeless. I stamped them with Ranger Archival Ink - Jet Black. I love this ink for stamping. I find it is always lovely and clear ink and being permanent you can stamp on things like photos and acetate. The resin I have used is one I made myself and inked with a little black and then red ink. There are plenty of things that Pat has you could use instead. Even another embellishment from the kit. 

The little blue butterfly above is from the embellishment kit and the rubon is by Kaisercraft. Pat has different mini alpha letter so mack sure you check them out.
