Master Chef in the Making

Good news..... My grainy photo problem is fixed. It was no more
than bad lighting. Silly me.

Morning everyone, well it is for me at my home. I would like
to show you a layout I have done of my son Riley. We have just
celebrated his 11th Birthday and today we have his party with
friends. It is a sleepover, movie popcorn night. 10 friends plus
Harley and the Birthday boy. 2pm till 2pm, I know I'm insane or
I will be by 2pm tomorrow.

Thought it best to do this now while I was able too. I have created
the LO for the challenge at Creative Scrappers. I love the sketch
challenges. Kristine Davidson's are awesome.

I love these photos of Riley. He didn't want the food spitting in his
eyes so he went and got his toy goggles. When he come back into
the room so casual and continued to cook without a word I could not
help myself, out with the camera. He was not only proud of the meal
he was cooking but also being smart enough to stop what could see
being a big problem for his eyes. Cute.

The papers I have used on this LO are from my Kaiser Craft stash.
I love the colors of them. I have achieved another thing by using
these papers, they are quite old and I have been able to keep with
my New Years resolution, use up the old and scraps.

The chip-boards are from Crate Paper, the Farmhouse Collection.
They are lovely sticker backed chippies and I was lucky that they
had these great cooking/kitchen chippies included in the collection.

Hello everyone,
I would just like to let everyone know that I'm sorry for the quality
of my posts at the moment. I have had Heather McMahon helping
me to try and sort out the problem. Thank you so much Heather you
are awesome.

My photos (on my post only) and layout are coming out a little grainy
and I can assure you they are nice and clear. Heather has had me trying
a range of ideas and we decided it would be best to go with my other
camera. Yay we had a new plan as the others were not working.

My problem is I have used my other camera and I'm now faced with
another problem......I can't get them to download. Nothing I do will
allow the memory card to be read. Grrrrrr.

So please bare with my latest posts that are grainy while I continue to
pull out my hair and try to fix it.

Who's On Wheels

I have created this layout for the challenge at Njoyfull Crafts  which is
a Colors of Nature Challenge. Narelle always has a few required items
that you must include on the challenge so if you are going to have a go
make sure you read properly and included these items.
1. Monthly color scheme
2. Amount of photos required
3. Choose 4 mediums from the list
4. Title, date and journal

 This is the photo color.

I chose pearls, flowers, leaves and embellishments. This challenges required
I use more than 4 photos.

The products I have used were a variety. Kaiser Craft rub-ons, Prima bird
house, bird was made by me with a resin mold, Prima flowers, Kaiser card
stock, Grace Taylor patterned papers and tag, paper doily.

Title (Wheels) American Thickers, (Small words) Websters storytellers
timeless letters. Handmade leaves from card stock,  Pearls from Kaiser Craft,
Veras Ink - 68 Atlantic and the butterfly's I fussy cut from Grace Taylor papers.

This was one awesome day for the boys. They had so much fun in the battery
operated jeep. Cynthia, a family friend had to run along side to make sure there
were no crashes.t was so funny. In the picture above Harley looks a little like he
is crying, in fact it was far from that.

Project Life - Birthday Boys

These two Project Life pages are of my son Harleys 1st Birthday.
I have this month done for the first time Project Life LO's and I
must say I have enjoyed them very much. It is a great way to scrap
an event or holiday that you have lots of photos off. I always seem
to have so many of the boys birthdays.

Like my last DT Scrapbookit post I have again continued with the
same kit as I was using with Riley. There is so much in it. The Echo
Park - Birthday wishes kit comes with the papers,  stickers and 5
                                                                    photo freedom sleeves.

The chippies I have used are from Kaiser Craft and I have colored
them with my Copics. It was simple but had a great effect.

The next two pages are of Riley, they go with the other Project Life
pages.

The only extra on the first one is the Manor House flowers, Kaiser
chippie, word rub-on and  the Thickers title. Inking with Kaiser
brown and using my dies and it is done.

For this second one there are only three things I used that were not in
the kit. The rosette in the corner was from Kaiser Craft and on it I used
this a green Copic. The other thing I used was Kaisers black ink.

Well that's my Project Life post for Scrapbookit. To have a look at the
other girls work pop on over. We have all done them a little different
and used different papers. They are all available at the Scrapbookit Store.

A Pot Of Tea

I have made this card for the challenge at Anything Goes
Challenge Blog. #98 Coffee Break and/or Food.
For this challenge I used some of my Scraptopia (On facebook)
design team work. The papers, fabric tape and the 3D sheet I
used were all from Kylie. On the tea pot and cup hearts I have used
glitter glue. The pansy has been handmade by Kylie at Scraptopia and
she has them for sale. They are so pretty.

School

Hi everyone,
I hope you like this layout of my son Harley. He loves school
and it shows in his school photos.
I have done this LO for the challenge at About A Boy Scrapbook
Challenge. I love this blog. But it is easy to love it when I have boys.

The papers for this LO are from the Kaiser Craft - Class Act Collection.
The embellishments are from Bella and Crayola. The rulers and journal
tag and report card were cut from the Kaiser papers.

I have used on the back ground behind  the photo TCW template -
Splats. It reminded me of what his cloths can sometimes come home
looking like. I used Mont Marte modeling paste to give it some texture,
something his cloths can also look like (lots of texture LOL).

There is still plenty of time if you have a boy in the family to pop on
over to About A Boy and join in their August challenge.

Celebrate

Hello everyone. Well this last week I have been a very busy
scraper. It has been wonderful to get into with the fire going
and glancing at the cold outside. My design team  work is all
up to date and I have had some time to create for a couple of
challenges. This LO is for the challenge at Bird Is The Word

This months challenge is a LO with the word Celebrate on it.
I could think of no better one to do than my Mum's 60th. It was
a great night out and Mum and I did do a little extra on the
celebrations. Hehe.
The other thing to do was use a sketch. I just loved it, I so love
doing sketches. For this layout I decided to do a hidden journal
on the back.

These papers are from Kaiser Crafts - Magnolia Grove Collection.
I just love them, the colors are so beautiful.

The beautiful small flowers I used are Prima and the large
one is from the BoBunny Blossoms collection. They go just
lovely together. The Rhinestone Flourish - Champagne from
Kaiser Craft. For the scolloped edge I used a die.

The lace sign and doily are both dies and I have used a
Versa Color black ink to ink around the edge of the doily.
The birds and butterfly are both Prima. The numbers and
the leaf branch were from the Magnolia Grove sticker sheet.
The word Celebrate was from Bella's - Boutique Insperation
kit. I thought they were the perfect size and color.

If you get a change pop on over to Bird Is The Word blog and
join in the challenges. They are a lot of fun.

Riley's 1st Birthday.

"Project Life" - Photo Freedom

Well ladies this is my first go at doing this style of scraping.
It has been so much fun. I have completed two pages that I
would like to show you. For anyone who wants to have a go
at this style of scraping or already is, then pop on over to the
Scrapbookit blog and join in the challenge.

I was so lucky with the kit I got to use. It has everything you need
to get started. The Echo Park - Birthday wishes kit comes with the
papers, stickers and 5 photo freedom sleeves.

To join us for this months challenge you will have plenty of time
to pop on to Scrapbookit store and purchase one of the kits that
Jo has in stocks "Project Life" a special time and submit by email
your entry. Sound simple....It is. Jo can get your kit to you super fast
and you still have the time to do your project and possibly be this
months winner.

The only extra that I added was the little present from Kaiser Craft
wooden flourishes and I used a Copic to color it. On the other side
which is below I used Kaiser Craft Rhinestones strip and the lolliepop
was cut out of a picture on a Darkroom Door - film strip (sweet treats
vol 1). All these things you can get from the Scrapbookit Store.

When you have a lot of photos of a special occasion this is a great way
to use them. With the Echo Park kit you don't have to add anything if
you don't want too, or add just a little or a lot it's up to you.
What ever you decide it will make your work look great.
