A Time For Family

Welcome to my blog again everyone. I'm bring to you today
another of my Christmas LO. It is that time of the year and
I must say I'm still loving it. I'm enjoying the time with my
beautiful boys and the extra time to get some scraping done.

I have created this LO for the Challenge to Let's Capture Our
Memories, sketch #48. You still have a couple of days if you
are like me and finding the time you need at the moment to do
your design work and challenges. I found this sketch appealing.

I had so much fun doing it. I hope you like my take on it.

I just love this paper range I have used on the Kaiser card stock. It is
Webster's patterned papers - Waiting for Santa.

From the papers I fussy cut the reindeer and Christmas Cottage.
I used Twiddleybitz - clock stencil with Tim Holtzs Distress Ink -
Walnut Stain. On the edges of my patterned papers I used Aged
Mahogany. For my titleI used Crystal - Alphabet Stickers and the
beautiful word chippie (family) is from Scraptopia. I colored it with
Tim Holtzs Distress Ink - Aged Mahogany and when dry applied
Glossy Accents over the top.

These three embellishments I have fussy cut from the Webster's papers.
To finish off my LO I used Versa Color Ink - 68 Atlantic and hand
stitched around the edge with my journal pen.

I love the challenges at Let's Capture Our Memories, so pop on over
and check them out. There is loads of fun. :)

Joy

Hello all. Well Christmas day is over and I hope you all
enjoyed your day with family and/or friends as much as
I did. It is a beautiful time of year for me. I love to sit at
the dinner table and without my family notice, reflect. I
look at how each one has change and as for my boys how
much they have grown. I love that my family is together
and filled with love and joy.

Very soon another year will begin and we will be saying
farewell to 2013. I know everyone will be wanting things
special for their year and I do hope you all get everything
you wish for.

There will be a few thing I hope will go nice and smooth
for my family.... I so want my mother to enjoy some good
health. Graeme (my husband) to have his wishes for the farm
come true. My beautiful boys Riley and Harley to enjoy life.
Riley in his final year of primary school and Harley moving
into Grade 4. I hope they also get everything out of their sports
they want. All my friends to prosper and enjoy good health.

Well that's my hopes, wishes and dreams for 2014 all roled
into one. But, right now I must get to bringing you my latest
creation. I have done this LO for the challenge at

The challenge was so much fun. I love the challenges at the
123 Challenge Blog and this one is no exception. You are given
a color, word and technique. This is Decembers -

This is the LO I designed for the challenge.

The beautiful chippie I have used for this is from Scraptopia and
also the Christmas handmade flower. I heat embossed the tree with
gold  and red for the title. I handmade a couple of felt bows.

The patterned papers I have used are from an older range of
Graphic 45 Christmas papers - Christmas Past. Like all their
papers they are just beautiful and I love to fussy cut my
embellishments from them.

The rubons on both sides at the top are Kaiser Craft.

The photos I chose for this LO are from 2004 and it was my youngest
son Harley's 1st Christmas. He loved sitting in his bright red peddle car.
He was nowhere near ready for it but like all dad's and their son's presents
it was a must :) Riley was happy with his 3 wheel bike. it's all he wanted
from Santa.

The only other thing on this LO that I have not listed is the cute
little deer just above. I fussy cute these from a very old Christmas
card. I thought they went well with the G45 papers. The reason I
wanted to use something from one of the old cards is that they had
belonged to a very dear friend of mine, Marion Watson. Marion
passed away in January and not long before she did I was given
many old cards she had saved. When she give them too me she said
they were for my scrapbooking and card making.

I hope you like the LO and there are still a few days left to be able
to get a LO into the challenge if you want. Like I said it is lots of fun

Christmas 2014 - Mini Album

Hello ladies, again welcome to my blog and another post
for my DT position at Scrapbookit this month. For all the
product detail please pop over and have a look. while there
check out the other DT's work. They do some amazing things.

The mini album I have created this  month is with a Kaiser Craft
scolloped mini album and the Santa's List Collection patterned
papers, Sticker Sheet and Collectables.
Scrapbookit
I will now be ready to just add photos and journal on each page
straight away. My family Christmas will be spent at my Mum and
Dads place and it is a time I love. Spending it with my boys and
Mum is the perfect day for me.

I already have in mind some of the photos I would like to put in
this album. With my Mum having cancer my heart and mind are
always thinking of different ways of holding the memories with me
and Riley and Harley. I want this album even though a mini to have
photos of the boys and Mum full of laughter...The tag says be jolly :)

These two pages are going to be for mum and boys and myself.
Mum loves the color green. I do hope the photos will work how
 I want them too.

JOY, LOVE and HAPPINESS.....Oh what strong words. They are
the words that go with FAMILY at Christmas. I so hope that each
and everyone of you get to share them with your loved ones.

I decided to make my back cover a page too. This page is going to
have a photo of the first person I find sleeping after Christmas lunch.
I have a feeling this year it will be my Mum. She sleeps a lot in the
afternoons now. I thought the words were very fitting -
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL
A GOODNIGHT
Don't forget to pop over to Scrapbookit for all the detail on the products
I have used. Leave a little loving if you want ..... hehe. I will do at least
one more post before Christmas, maybe two so call back. If you don't you
will miss my Christmas wish. :)
Hugs to all.

Wishing Well

Hello again today. This is my latest off the page project
I have been working on. This wishing well has been made
for my mother. She is my inspiration in my life. She is a
truly beautiful person with a beautiful soul.

Everyday my mother battles cancer and the last few months
have been a struggle for her. She has a strength and will like
nothing I have seen. She loves the work I do and is always so
full of encouragement off all my craft work. It doesn't matter
if it is a LO, Card or Off The Page.

This is my beautiful mother Christmas last year.

My sons Riley and Harley just adore Grandma and they
decided they would use some of their pocket money to
put in the well and make a wish. They wont say what they
wished for in fear it wont come true. They both will say
though the wishes they made were for Grandma. I love my
boys so much. Around the money opening I used Kaiser
Craft pearls.

I have decorated the Kaiser Craft mini Wishing Well
with Bella patterned papers and I used a burgundy paint.
The flowers are from Petaloo and Kaiser. The vine is from
Prima. The birds are the beautiful Prima Resin Treasures.
The larger of the two butterfly's is from Petaloo and the
smaller I cut from the patterned papers. Around the money
opening I used Kaiser Craft pearls.

The Night Before Christmas

Welcome all to my blog and my latest DT layout for
Scrapbookit. What an awesome challenge is up this
month, set by our GDT member Amanda. It is that
time where Christmas is on all the blogs and challenges
not just our minds. With this challenge you have to use
paint and sprays. My new passion.

My layout is of my son Riley dressed as Santa. I must say
his blue Bob the Builder shoes match so well. He is now 11
and when I was placing things over them to do the cover up
he was most disgusted...."Mum you can't do that. They were
my Bob shoes, I loved them." ... The shoes stay, I do remember
how much he loved them.

I'm going to do a little cheat today and list the products I have used
and for more details you will be able to pop over to Scrapbookit  and
have a look and read. I know its bad but I have another post for today
as well that I would like to show you. A little something I have been
working on.

Kaiser Craft - Card stock, Santas List patterned papers and matching
collectables. Rub-ons, inks, white paint and Chevron stamp.
Journal pen
Texture paste
Dylusions Ink Spray - Postbox Red
Heidi Swapp Color Shine Spray - Primrose
Kindy Glitz - Crystalina
American Thickers

I hope you like the LO of my handsome boy. I must say though the
blue shoes match with the blue eyes lol. Maybe not anywhere else
but he loves the LO just like it is and I him so all is good. Soon I will
be bringing you a LO he has done. I can't wait for him too finish it.

Boys will be Boys

Welcome everyone.
While I had my boy scrap bag out the other day I decided I
would use it to do the challenge at Frosted Designs - Friday
Challenge. The challenges requires you to use at least one of
the 11 things on the 11th month list. You can use more if you like.

  1. Tags;
  2. Paper layering
  3. Washi tape
  4. Flags/banners
  5. Patchwork
  6. Circles
  7. Stitching
  8. Stars
  9. Flowers
  10. Buttons
  11. Arrows
I thought this would be fun and easy to play around with while making
sure I didn't use anything but what was in my scrap bags. You guessed it,
another LO where I have kept my New Years Resolution. wonder if I can
make the same one for 2014. I think I have done well this year.

These photos are of my youngest son Harley. He couldn't take his eyes
off the tractors and and all the action on the other side of the fence. We
sure did pic a great thing to do for the Easter brake.

The one thing I have noticed about my boy scrap bag is, lots of Kaizer
papers along with Kaiser bits and pieces. I was so lucky to have left
 overs  that matched.

I hope you like my latest LO. If you think this challenge will be fun
too then jump over to Frosted Designs and join in.
Until my next post Happy Crafting Ladies.

I'm Tuff

Hello everyone and as always welcome to my blog.
The days are passing very fast and Christmas day is
just around the corner now.

The layout that I have created for this post is off my
friend Mel's son Jack. He is a sweetheart and I love
this photo of him trying to look like the tough guy.

My inspiration for the layout was the challenge at Let's
Capture Our Memories December color spot.

While doing this challenge I decided I would again work with my
New Years Resolution for 2013. I don't have long to go with this one
so I thought I should stick to it again..... Yes, the scrap bag. This time
I chose to use the bag that had my Kaiser Craft left over boy papers.

I also used left over letters from the letter bag. Yay two things for
the one LO. The chippie is from Scraptopia and I chose to leave it
in its natural color.

I started my LO on Kaisers Craft white card stock. I used the TCW
12x12 template - Sunburst and my sons orange crayon. Over this I
used in patches Versa color ink (very lightly) - Orange and Atlantic.
I also used Tim Holtz distress stain - green.

I used TCW 6x6 Stencil - Mini Bricks with Ferro - Stahl. To
finish off the outside edges of the LO I used a Slick Writer medium
pen. The arrows I fussy cut from the papers.

I hope you like my LO of the very handsome young Jack. Don't
miss checking out the Let's Capture Our Memories Blog and until
my next post.....Happy crafting.
