All Dolled Up

Hello everyone and as always welcome to my blog. With Christmas day over we are now only looking at a couple more days and New Years is upon us. Again a time for family, friends and celebrations. I hope you all enjoy your New Years Eve and Day. My mums birthday is New Years Day so our celebrations will be with mum. For all of you going out please stay safe and if drinking don't drive. Now time for me to get on with it.

I would like to show you a design layout I did for Patricia at Scrapbooking & Keepsakes. I just loved doing this layout of a friends daughters Hailey and Mackenzie when they attended a family wedding. They both look so beautiful.

The beautiful patterned papers I used on this layout are by Margie Romney-Aslett - All Dolled Up and it was just right for my title. They are lovely pink, cream, black and gold patterned papers and would go with so much. It is a kit and you get 12 sheets of double sided 12x12 patterned papers, one 12x12 titles/accents sticker sheet and one 12x12 Alpha sticker sheet.  For the photo I used some black card stock as well and it made the photo pop just that bit from the papers.

The chippie at the top and bottom of the photo is by Memory Maze and I used Baby Pink embossing powder on it. The stamps are from the Artful Clear Stamp Collection. They are just beautiful stamps and the ink is Distress Ink - Walnut Stain. The spray I have used in the background is Prima Color Bloom - Cotton Candy.

This gorgeous doll is a mixed media stamp from the Julie Nutting collection by Prima. Once I stamped and cut the doll out I then stamped it on the patterned papers and cut those out.I then layered it onto the doll. The hair I cut from brown cardstock. I used some pink fine netting over the top of the skirt and Kaisercraft pink pearls on the waist. There are different dolls and you are able to get them online in the Scrapbooking & Keepsakes store or you can call into the shop and get them in person.

The absolutely gorgeous die by Our Daily Bread was a must have for my collection. Their dies are just beautiful and I know you will like them. I cut it out of pink cardstock and inked the edge just a little with Walnut Stain. The title of course is from the paper pack. The pink, white and pink/white paper flowers were a perfect color for the papers. On the white I inked them a little with Walnut stain. Amongst the flowers I placed some Kaisercraft Sparklets - Princess and here and there on the layout I used Kaisercrafts new Epoxy stickers - Candy hearts.

I hope you like the layout and please remember you can get the products I have used either at the online store or in the shop at Harold Street, Wendouree.

Happy Me...

Hello all, this is my final post for Treasures Forever for 2014. Don't worry though I will be back again in 2015 showing you some more creations and products from Roz. This layout was created for a challenge that was being run when I was in Warrnambool at retreat. I hope you like it.

We were all given the same products and paper in a pack and had to create a layout using, cardstock, patterned paper, feather, brad, handmade flowers, doily, journal tag and hearts. It also had to have a black title.

As you can see I followed all the requirements and also used some sprays to tie everything in together. It was so much fun to see what everyone come up with using the same thing.

I decided to cut around the photo of me so as there was no background and it helped the photo to stand out a little more I think.

Don't forget to go to facebook and keep up to date and to keep calling back to my blog to see what I have been up to for Treasures Forever.

We Wish You A Merry Christmas

Being the Christmas Season there is no better time than to create a Christmas layout. This one is of Christmas with my family. Mum, dad and my two beautiful boys Riley and Harley. I have done this layout for my DT post at Let's Capture Our Memories. To see what the other DT girls have come up with and to join in the fun please hop on over to the blog. Below is the sketch you will need to use and my take on the sketch.

The 12x12 patterned papers I used to create this layout are by Couture Creations - Vintage Christmas. They were just perfect and the colors worked great with the photos. On the edges of the papers I used Distress Ink - Gathered Twigs.

Both the title tree and the beautiful birth were fussy cut from from the patterned papers.

The small words under the photos are by KaisercCraft - Dymo Black alpha Stickers. On my background I used KaiersCratfs Quater, circles template with Moderling Paste. I then went around the edge when dry with a red Slick Writer. The  red splat spots are Mister Huey's Color Mist - Pretty Pink. I just flicked it in spots. Around the blue background edge I used a black journal pen to do some stitching.

I hope you have enjoyed my take on the sketch and find the time to join in the fun over at the
Let's Capture Our Memories blog. I would love to see you leave a comment here and hop on over and join in. While at the blog please let us know what you think of our layouts. When you enter we will leave you some love too.

Cherish

Hello all, I just can't believe how quick this year is coming to an end. It really doesn't seem like it should be this close to Christmas and 2015. After reading posts on facebook it sounds like I'm not the only one thinking it. Finding time getting away and so many things to do.

Right now though I would like to show you my first design layout for Scrapbooking and Keepsakes. The layout photo is of my Oma (Grandma) and she was such a beautiful special lady and I miss her so very much.

The beautiful papers I got to use are by Ruby Rock-it. It is their Eklectique Mini Paper Pack and it has 12 designs/36 sheets. The colors are just beautiful. I used grey cardstock for my background and on it I used a very, very old 12x12 rubon over the top of it (sorry but this is not in store or at the shop)

The rubon words are by KaiserCraft and the leaves have been cut with a leaf die out of brown cardstock. The inking around the patterned papers is Distress Ink - Gathered Twigs.

The flowers are a paper flower mix. A few from this pack and a few from that. Some I inked with Kaisers orange ink and the smaller I used the Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. The little butterflies I fussy cut from Authentique patterned paper.

The boarder punch I used is a Fiskars and it has a lovely floral look about it.

Please stop by the online store or if you are close to Ballarat hop on in to the shop in the Harold Street shopping center Wendouree. You can meet Patricia and check out all the products I have used and many, many more. There is so much to chose from.

Until my next post, happy crafting stay safe and enjoy the festive season.

Fun with Santa

Hello all, I'm back again with my first post for December over at Scrapbookit. Oh yes I did say it out loud DECEMBER hehe. That means Santa is on his way and so is some awesome family time. I love Christmas and spending the day with my family. Hope you all do something special Christmas day with loved ones.

Since it is that time of the year I was lucky to get "Twas The Night Before Christmas" 8x8 double sided patterned papers by Graphic 45. I'm sure by now everyone knows how much I love G45. I have been lucky over my time designing for Jo to get some awesome G45 papers to play with.

I got to use Lynn's sketch (which I love) and the only other thing you are required to do is use the word/s - celebration, congratulations or fun on your layout. This is what I have come up with. I hope you like it and it inspires you to join in this months challenge and maybe the lucky winner.

For my back ground I used Dylusions Spray Ink - Postbox Red and Prima Color Bloom Sprays - Cobalt and Emerald. In my kit I was lucky and got a Heidi Swapp Foam Shapes Stamp. I decided to use white Kaiser paint on it. The buttons I have used are an awesome Christmas mix of colors.

For my title I used Bella!Chipz - Gold Glitter and for the word with I used Kaisercraft Mini Alpha's - Black and White. Also on the background I used Tinby Metallic Melts - Gold Nugger.

The flowers by Manor House are just beautiful. I did some stitching with a black journal pen coming down from the letters. Randomly I placed some Kaiser Pearls and around the edge of the patterned papers I used Distress Ink - Gathered twigs.

I hope you like my take on Lynn's Sketch. It was loads of fun so please join in as I would love to see what your creative mojo comes up with. Remember that everything I used on my layout is available at the Scrapbookit Store. Trust me it is THE place to shop. You get to sit with a coffee, check each section and make some choices and press a few keys on the laptop..... then...... press send order and pay now and it is all done for you. No looking for a park, no swollen feet, loads of crafting time. Jo gets to do all the work and you sit back and wait for it to arrive in the mail. Yay.....Just the way I like it, aha. Till my next post have a wonderful December, love your family and happy crafting.

Bucking Bronco

Hello and welcome as always to my blog. Today has been a long day for me and now it is time to unwind and do something I enjoy. I love everything about Scrapbooking and crafting, along with putting up my posts. It is just that sometimes I seem to run out of time. Tonight I would like to show you a layout I created for my DT post at Let's Capture Our Memories. As always at LCOM we have an awesome sketch for you to follow.

Below is my take on the sketch. As you can see, besides the three photos you have to include a number, title and journalling.

I chose to do a layout of my son Harley riding the bucking bronco at a Rodeo we just had in our home town. 5 sec was about the time he stayed on but he had an awesome ride.

The cowboy boots and hat ate a chippie by Scraptopia. I used Distress Embossing Powder - Vintage Photo on them. It made them look just like the real thing. The fern leaf flourishes are a die by Cherry Lynn Designs. The patterned papers are Kaisercrafts and the number 5 is American Crafters.

My title is Cre8tive Black Foam Alphas and the Rubon is KaiserCrafts - Moments. I also used a small circle punch for the small holes at each side of the patterned paper.

For my background I used a Scrap FX Chicken Wire Stamp and a KaiserCraft clear stamp - Bubble Wrap. The inks are Distress Ink - Black Soot, Derivan Ink - Sepia and Kaiser Ink - Red Gum.The other thing I used was Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber - Mushroom.

I hope you have liked my take on the sketch. Don't forget to hop on over to the LCOM blog and check out what the other DT girls have been up to. Get inspired and join in the fun.
We would love to see you there.

Taekwondo

Hello all and welcome to my blog. Today I would like to show you a layout I have done for Kerri Smith new TGI Friday Challenge on facebook. I'm so looking forward to the next challenge Kerri posts. They are going to be loads of fun. This is what this weeks challenge #1requires.
The challenge is to scrap about someone/something you love, use some stamping of course and as telling the story is important, add a bit of journaling to your page. You can stamp a background, or make an embellishment, your journaling can be on a tag, a list or if personal hidden behind the photo.

I chose to do a layout of my son Harley and my Mum (Helen). Two people who I love so very much. With my Mum being so sick and things having to change so much of late I treasure every photo I get of her. Specially ones like this. This photo was taken at a grading for Harley and possibly the last my mum will be able to attend. She takes him to training but finds the gradings to tiring. She struggled this day and there were some tears by us after she left. Tears she will never know while she fights on with such strength and will of mind and heart.

For this layout I used the beautiful Off The Wall patterned papers by Kaisercraft. The colors were awesome for the photo. The chippie is by Scrap FX and I colored it with a Kaiser Fusion marker - Blue B10. Over the top of that I used Glossy Accents.

On the edges of the patterned papers I used Distress Ink - Black Soot. The clear stamp is by KaiserCraft - Bubble Wrap. The Ninja is one I purchased already made.

The background sprays are Prima Color Blooms - Coal and Cobalt. Everything was created on KaiserCraft White Card stock.

I Really Believe In Myself

Welcome to my blog and the first post for December and I did try and say it very quietly so as not to scare myself about not having the Christmas shopping finished. Hope You are better than I am and you are well underway or finished.

This layout is for my DT post at 123 Challenge Blog. I loved the colors of this challenge and thought it went well with this pic of me. Looks like I'm used to doing photos of myself. Guess it depends on the photo though :)

Don't forget when you hop on over to join in that you need to for fill the three requirements to be in the running for a fantastic prize. Below is my take on the challenge.

The patterned papers I used are by KaiserCraft - Telegraph Road. Besides the paper embellishments I also made the tags out of the papers and used some twin on the top. I inked the patterned papers with Distress Ink - Frayed Burlap.

The flowers are from Prima, Ruby Rock-it and plain paper flowers. I also used some gauze and the little clock is a resin I made and colored with paint. Mixed in with the flowers is some cotton.

The ornate die cut frame is by Manor House and the Rub-ons are KaiserCraft - Mother and Life. The ornate beautiful key is a G45 and the leaves in my flower clusters are KaiserCrafts.

The sprays I used on my back ground are Heidi Swapp Color Shine - Mustard and Chartreuse. Also Mister Huey's Color Mist - Pretty Pink and Opaque White. They were a great mix and blended in well with the flowers and watermelon color required for the challenge.

As always, thanks for dropping over. I love you visiting and hope you have the time to join in the challenge. Happy crafting. xx
