I'M SO HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THAT I HAVE BEEN CHOSEN AS A DT MEMBER FOR LET'S GET SKETCHY
WOOOHOOO WHAT AN HONOR TO PART OF SUCH A VERY TALENTED TEAM.
THIS LAYOUT BELOW THAT I CREATED TO APPLY FOR THE POSITION IS ALSO MY VERY FIRST POST AT THE LET'S GET SKETCHY BLOG
PLEASE CALL OVER THERE, HAVE A LOOK AT WHAT THE OTHER DESIGN TEAM MEMBER HAVE CREATED. ALSO JOIN IN THE CHALLENGE WHICH IS AN AWESOME SKETCH.

Hello and as always welcome to my blog. I would like to show you a layout I have created for the design Team Call over at Let's Get Sketchy.

This layout is of a friends daughter and I'm making an album for her. Mum and the girls are all into softball and I just love the girls uniform. Beautiful pink for beautiful girls.

This is the sketch that I had to to work with and I do love sketches.

Now for my take on it. I must credit photographer Ray Gapinski for this photo though. Bit hard for me to take the pic in Australia when they are across the big water lol. His photos are just amazing.

I created my layout on Kaisercraft white cardstock and used a beautiful pink spray ink with a little Distress Spray Stain - Iced Spruce to create on top of.

The patterned papers are by Glitz Design - All Dolled Up. and I inked the edges with Distress ink - Black Soot. I also used some black cardstock to go with the face grid and make the photo pop a little. The Babe Ruth saying is from Kaisercrafts Game On Sticker Sheet - Base Ball.

The ornate circle is by Molossi and I have coloured it with Kaisercraft Fusion pen and then used Glossy Accents over the top. The baseball, bat and helmet are chippies by Scraptopia and I have used the following products on them - Kaisercraft - Dusty Pink Paint, Fusions P12, E02 and WG04, StazOn ink Cotton White.

My title Batter Up! is also from the Kaisercraft Game On Sticker Sheet - Baseball. I thought it was just perfect for the photo.

I hope you have liked my submission for the DT call at Let's Get Sketchy. Until my next post happy crafting and I would also like to wish you all a Happy Easter. May the bunny be good to you

Family Love

Hello everyone and welcome as always to my blog. I have created this layout for the challenge over at Scrapping Outback. What a great challenge pallet it is this month. I love the colours and they are perfect for the layout I wanted to create for a very special friend of mine Lyn Taylor. The photo she give me is of her three children and it means so much to her. Once it was finished she wanted me to place it in a frame for her wall ( which I have now done).
Below is the March colour pellet at Scrapping Outback I had to use.

When looking at the challenge I knew right away which photo I wanted to use. The colours were just right so it was time to look for the papers and I went straight to my Graphic 45 stash.

My layout is created on Kaisercraft white cardstock. The Graphic 45 papers I chose are from the Bird Song Collection and the Typography Collection. They are two very beautiful collections. For my background I used Distress Spray stains - Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo. I used Kaisercrafts Diamonds stamp with Distress Ink - Walnut Stain. I also used the Prima Stitches stamp with the same ink. The stitches stamp is at the bottom near the word love.

I mounted the photo on black cardstock and inked the patterned papers with Distress - Walnut Stain. My title letters are Provocraft stickers - Family and Kaisercrafts clear sticker - Script Words. On my background I also used Modeling Paste with Kaisercrafts Quarters Stencil and inked over it with Distress Ink - Stormy Sky.

Behind the flowers I used gauze which I coloured with Distress Ink - Rusty Hindge. The flowers are by Prima - Vinetta En Francais and Manette Attic. The key locket I made from resin and inked it with Walnut Stain. The metal key is by Kaisercraft and I used some of the patterned paper to glue on it and then placed one of the epoxy hearts over that.

The silver and dark brown bling flourish is by Prima and the butterflies are punched. In the photo below the Bird is a resin that I made and I coloured it with Distress Ink - Stormy Sky. The hearts on the layout are from the Kaisercraft Script Words Sticker Sheet.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my layout for the Scrapping Outback challenge. If you have the time call over to the blog and check out the challenges each month, they are great.
Until my next post.....Happy Crafting.

On The Farm

Welcome all my crafty friends to my blog and my take on the sketch challenge over at
Let's Capture Our Memories. We have another awesome sketch for you to join in on. But before you do, if you have the time please call to the Let's Capture Our Memories blog and see what the other DT ladies have been up to. There are some lovely layouts for you to be inspired by and also the card challenge as well.
I love doing sketches and this one I really liked, but I guess when you look at a sketch and know what you want to do straight away helps.

This is my take on the sketch. I hope you like it.

As you can see these photos are of a couple of the cows we have out of approx 70. I have created my layout on Kaiser cardstock. The patterned papers I used are by Cosmo Cricket - Halfway Cafe. I thought the papers went real well with the cows and farming.

On my cardstock I sprayed with Distress Spray Stain (which I just love) - Brushed Pewter, Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain. Both my boys made similar comments to the fact it looked like splattered cow poo. Lovely I must say. My Title is a chippie by Scrap FX and I coloured it with Distress Crackle Paint - Vintage Photo. My tags are by Tim Holtz and I inked the edges with Distress Ink - Frayed Burlap then placed some twin in them.

I mounted my photos on black cardstock just to make them pop a little. I used a boarder punch and  inked the edges of the patterned papers.

The Barb Wire is by Dusty Attic and I coloured it with Viva Ink Gold Rub - Gold/Browngold. I then placed a little of the sliver over that.

I really hope you have liked my take on the sketch and would love to know what you think. Until my next post, Happy Crafting and may your mojo flow.

Adorable

Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog. The layout I would like to show you today has been created fro the challenge over at WW1. I love the challenge, you have to use white with one other color - Hemlock.

This is my take on the challenge and the very handsome boy is my youngest son Harley.

I created my layout on Kaisercrafts 12x12 patterned paper - Base Coat. The patterned papers behind my photo are Carta Bella - Alphabet Blocks, Eco Park - All About A Boy and October Afternoon - Barnyard. Inbetween I also used Black and also White cardstock. It made the photo pop and showed the green in the papers a little better. Around the edge of the patterned papers I used Distress Ink - Black Soot.

The chippie above is by WOW and I coated it with Viva Croco Crackling Colour - Metallic Silber (and no I haven't spelt the word wrong - checked it twice lol). Once this had dried and cracked I then inked it with green Distress Ink.

The Adorable chippie is by Scraptopia and I hve coloured it with the same method. My stencil is by Kaisercraft - Quarters and I used modeling paste.

Over two corners of the photo I have used washi tape. The sprays I used in the background are Dylusions Ink Sprays - Dirty Martini and Black Marble.

I hope you have enjoyed my take on the challenge layout. So until my next post, Happy Crafting and my your blade cut straight.

Adore - Cherish - Love

Hello all and welcome to my blog. I would like to share with you my second and final post for Scrapbookit this month. Yes you have read it right, my final post for Scrapbookit. This post is being done with much sadness as it is time for me to move on. To be honest I didn't think this day would come as I have loved designing for Jo and Head Designer Mel. We have become great friends and it is a friendship that will continue into my future. Don't worry though I will be back joining in on the challenges and also going to the truly awesome Scrapbookit Retreats. Not forgetting spending up as normal in the Scrapbookit store. I think I'm truly addicted to scrap shopping. But for now it is time to do my post. Procrastinating will not change things, so here is my layout.

There is no way I could not finish off at Scrapbookit without showing you a layout of the three most amazing and beautiful people in my life. Harley, Mum and Riley. My three word title is just perfect to sum up my feelings.
Again like my last post have used the Couture Creations patterned papers. These papers are just beautiful and I have love fussy cutting from them. All the flowers and butterflies along with the tags with the words Dream, Believe and love.

My word titles are Kaisercrafts Wooden Flourishes and I chose to split the word Cherish. I have coloured them with Viva - Croco Cracking Colour - Metallic Bronze. This product is my new love. As you can see I have place my patterned paper on Kaisercraft cardstock - Aloe. I tore a section of the patterned paper out and inked it with Distress Ink - Frayed Burlap. On top of the Cradtock behind the photo I stamped with Kaisercrafts clear stamp - Flutter

On this layout there are no other products for me to tell you about. It is one of those layouts where I think you would find very cost effective if you are working on a budget. It really is amazing when working on a budget what you can do if you cut your embellishments from you patterned papers. When I do a layout like this I pick my papers and know what I want to cut from them and then my title, after that you will find the rest will just fall together.

I hope you have enjoyed this layout of three of my very much loved family who rock my world.
I also thought it might be nice to show you my layout I did in Jo's retreat class titled LOVE. What an awesome class too. I loved it and look close and see if you can pick it..... This layout was created on a pizza box lid. Yep, a pizza box lid. This is one thing I will be doing again as it was a great way to base the creation and I thin it has come up stunning.

Oh and just incase you hadn't noticed I have used a pic of my very handsome boys again. This photo was taken on our holidays to the Warrnambool coast. The feathers, lock and key were also cut from the pizza box.
Now for a couple of close ups.

I hope you have enjoyed my layouts and final post over at Scrapbookit. Do make sure like me that you will go over and join in the fun challenges. xxx

Best Day Ever

Welcome as always to my blog. It means so much to me to have you call in to see what I have been up to. The layout I would like to to show you today is one I created for my DT post over at Let's Capture Our Memories. It is as always a great sketch challenges over at the blog and the rest of the Design Team have some great layouts and cards for you to have a look at and get your mojo flowing. So after having a look at my layout please hop on over and check out what we have been up to and join in the fun.

Below is my take on the sketch.

These photos were taken in January 2014 when the boys and I went on holidays to Warrnambool and traveled around the coast. I got to meet up with a very special friend of mine Theresa and her two sons Graydon and Josh. I have know Theresa for 10 years and we met because our sons went to kindergarten together. Even after she moved away we have kept in touch and it was great to visit and spend time with them..... But back to my layout :)

I created this layout on White Kaisercraft cardstock. If you are looking for the patterned papers you wont be able to find them. I thought I would do something a little different this time and see how my layout would come up without any. I'm happy with it but I guess it's up to you all.

The chippie title is from Scraptopia. I coloured it with Lindy's Stamp Gang Spray - Tibetan Poppy Teal. This spray comes in powder form and you add water to it. In this case though I didn't add the required amount of water I just used my brush with water and dipped it in the powder and painted it on. It give it a very deep glittery/shinny look.

To create my background have used Distress Ink - Peacock Feathers, Perfect Pearls Mist - Turquoise, Distress Stain Spray - Evergreen Bough, Dylusions Spray ink - Campso Teal, Mister Huey's Colour Mists - Heirloom Blue and Opaque White.

The very pretty mermaid is a stamp by Graphic 45 and I have stamped it on blue cardstock and then fussy cut it out and raised it up on the papers.

The journal tags are from Kaisercrafts Sea Side Collection. The anchor is fussy cut from Webster's 12x12 papers - Cool Water and Words.

The Compass chippie is by Kaisercraft and the journal shape is out of the 6x6 Patterned paper pad by Kaisercraft - Sea Side Collection.

I hope you have enjoyed my DT layout for Let's Capture Our Memories and that you call to my blog again. I love it when you drop over.

Together Is My Favorite Place To Be

Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog. I hope your mojos have been flowing like mine have for the last few months. Even though things have been so stressful with mum, the boys starting new schools and making some life changing business decisions, I feel the craft side of my life has been running very smoothly.

But on with my latest creation for my DT position at Scrapbookit. This months challenge has been set by Jo and it is an awesome one that requires you to use three elements.

You need to use gold, the title in the middle and the sketch at the end. Don't stress it is easier than you may think. Sketches are great, some gold and no thinking about your title as Jo has done that for you.  This is my take on the challenge.

Jo sent me an awesome paper range to work with, Couture Creations - Vintage Rose Garden. Every single 12x12 sheet is just beautiful. I'm sure you would have all guessed my favorite place is anywhere my boys are.

I used cardstock on one of the patterned papers to build my layout. To create my background I used Distress Spray Stain - Tarnished Brass (Which has a gold look to it when you use gold on your layout) and I also used Kaisercrafts clear stamp - Script with Distress Ink -  Gathered Twigs.

The doily is cut from the Kaisercraft Doily Die and I inked the edge with Gathered twigs. The letter for my title are (Large) Thickers - Custard and I coloured them with Perfect Pearls - Perfect Gold. On the edges you can still see a little of the custard colour and it blends in well with the patterned papers.
The small letters are by Kaisercraft Alpha Stickers - Ebony. Behind the black and white photo I have embossed the patterned paper with Kaisercrafts Rose embossing folder. Before placing my patterned paper in the folder I inked it with Distress Ink - Gathered twigs and then run it through and it embossed the roses and inked the paper all at the same time.

The black (Larger) butterfly is a Kaisercraft clear sticker from the Butterflies set. The butterfly and all the flowers I have fussy cut from the patterned papers. The chippie is a Scrap FX - Doodad D. I coloured it with Perfect Pearls - Perfect Gold.

I hope you have enjoyed my take on this months challenge and that I have been able to inspire you to join in on the fun. Jo has a great prize for the lucky winner but you have to submit your creation first to have a chance. I know I look forward to what you come up with.
If there is anything on my layout that will help to get your juices flowing and you don't have it then head to the top of the blog and click on the store. Jo has everything i have used and will be more than happy to fill your order. If you don't see it then just shoot Jo an email and she will help you out.
For those going to retreat I look forward to catching up with you. Tomorrow I'm in the car and on my way. Can't wait for three fun filled days of friends, craft, workshop, poo sticks challenge lol, yummy meals and awesome accommodation. What more could us crafty friends ask for. See you soon.
Hugs all xxx

Memories - Card

Welcome to my blog crafty friends and my post for Meg's Garden. My last post over at Meg's Garden was a layout but this time I decided to do a card and I had some beautiful products to do it with.
When deciding how I was going to make my card I had an Auntie of my father in mind. The very beautiful lady on this card reminded me of her.

The background paper on my card is out of the Butterfly Mini Pack. The papers are just beautiful. Over this I placed a Paper Lace Heart Doily which I inked with Distress Ink - Gathered Twigs. Around the background paper I inked with Distress Ink - Walnut Stain. The memories card title is from a Kaisercraft Collectables pack.

I just love these Small Oval Victorian Frames in the Meg's Garden Store. On this beautiful ornate frame I coated it with Distress Crackle Paint - Vintage Photo I then inked the edge with a little Gathered twigs which I think helped to define the edge and give it a little more of an old vintage look.  The beautiful picture is from the Transparencies A4- Ladies With Flowers Sheet.

I love these flowers and they went so well with the green head band in the picture and also the  little bits of green in the dress. The flowers are from the fabric flowers range and are - Grassy Knoll. behind the flowers and frame I used some Brown and Cream Medley and also some Brown Dodo Vine Wire. I also used the beautiful brass butterfly.
I hope you have enjoyed looking the card I have created and please go to the Meg's Garden of Papercraft Delights and you can find the products I have used and much more. Or you can simply click on one of the links. Until my next post happy crafting and please keep calling back to the blog to have a look at what the other DT girls have been up to.
Hugs all Brenda xxx

Surf's Up

Hello crafty friends and a very warm welcome to my blog and my DT post for Treasures Forever.
I have really enjoyed doing this layout of my son Riley. The photos were taken on our holidays in January and we went to Sommers. These photos were taken at Phillip Island after Riley had his very first surf lesson. Boy was I proud of him. A one hour lesson and he was surfing pretty good.

The patterned papers I used are Kaisercrafts - Seaside Collection. It is an old range of papers but I think a goodie. I have been lucky to be able to get some bits and pieces of this range from Roz so you will get to see some more of our holiday with them.

From the patterned papers in the 6" paper pad I fussy cut the surf boards. The chippie title is by
Scrap FX and I colored it with Kaisercrafts B10 Fusion. I then used some white ink on it to give it a bit of a look like water but chose to let it have a pale blue tinge to it.

I distressed the edges of the patterned papers and then lightly inked the edges with Distress Ink - Frayed Burlap. On my background I used Distress Ink - Mustard Seed on Kaisercrafts Clear Stamp - Distress and Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass on Kaisercrafts Clear Stamp - Stains.

The cutout words are from patterned paper sheet by Webster's - Ocean Melody Storyteller Sheet 2 and I inked them around the edges with Frayed Burlap and then inked lightly in the middle with Tumbled Glass.

I hope you have enjoyed having a look at my layout and everything I have used is available at Treasures Forever.

Happy Crafting xxx
