Cherish

Hello and as always welcome to my blog. I would like to share with you a page I created for the challenge this month over at White with 1.

My inspiration from the WW1 Challenge was all about the beautiful colour and the gorgeous big Gerbera flower (These flowers were my Mums favorite so I couldn't go past the challenge)

I loved this colour and chose a photo of my girlfriends daughter Mackenzie when she was just a little bub. I used 49 and Market flowers and A2Z Scraplets along with Kaisercraft Patterned Papers.

Some of the other products I have used on my page are -
Paper Doily
Mini Lace Heart
Green Tara Flowers
Lyndy's Stamp Gang Starburst Spray
Modeling Paste
White Gesso
Lyndy's Stamp Gang Magical
Distress Ink
Butterfly Punch

Thank so much for stopping in and having a look at my latest page. I hope I have been able to inspire you in some way and please keep calling back as every week there is something new happening here. Something new to see. For details on how I did these chippies hop on over to A2Z Scraplets for the tutorial. Happy Crafting xxx

Beautiful Girl

Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog and my post for the challenge over at
ARTastic Challenge Blog. As always you get to use an amazing piece of art work for inspiration and I just love this one. To be honest I would love it hanging in my living room.

Now it is time for my take on this beautiful artwork by Cathy McClelland called Tap Dancer. The inspiration for my page from the artwork is the flowers and the cute bluebird on the tap. I didn't have a bluebird but I put some birds on my page and also some beautiful flowers by 49 and Market. The photo is of my girlfriend Jen's beautiful daughter Jorja.

I chose to use the beautiful patterned papers by Graphic 45 and two awesome chippies by A2Z Scraplets. Both the chicken wire and title chippies I painted with white acrylic paint.

The birds have been fussy cut from patterned paper along with the little butterfly.

The chippies you can find in the A2Z Scraplets Store along with so many more chippies you will have trouble choosing what ones you want to get. I have that trouble every single time. One of each would be good lol but some I just have to get by two. :)

I hope you have enjoyed popping in and please keep calling back. I love visitors and I also love to hear what you think so don't forget to leave a comment so I know you have been.
Hope on over to A2Z Scraplets for some great inspiration from the DT and over to
ARTastic Challenge Blog to join in on this great challenge.
Happy Crafting and may your mojo flow. xxx

Red Red Wine

Welcome and thanks for popping in, I would like to share with you my latest page for A2Z Scraplets. I created this page of my special friend Jen. I'm so happy with this page and the fun photos she took for me because I don't drink wine lol.

I chose two chippies for my page, of course the title chippie - Red Red Wine and the Star Chippie down the side of the photo.

To create my Red Red Wine chippie I covered it with red acrylic paint. I also did the same with the flourish up the side of the photo. Once the title was dry I then some Viva Ink Gold in silver and blue along with my finger to rub it on in places. My title was then finished, simple but effective I think.
Once the paint was dry on the star flourish I then coated each of the stars with the Blue Viva. Next I used a white paint pen and painted a star in the middle over the blue, edged it with a black paint pen. Once these two were dry I then used my silver Wink Of Stella and placed some on the white paint pen just to give it that little bit more depth and to have it go a little better with the background.

The glass of wine has been fussy cut from one of the photos. Other products I have used are -
Kaiser Craft Base Coat patterned paper
Acrylic Paint
Paint Pens
Dylusions Paint
Stencil
Tim Holtz Idea-ology Tissue Paper
Viva Inka Gold Rub

I enjoyed doing my page of Jen but I must admit I love doing all the pages I do. There is nothing more relaxing to me. One of the things I love to use on them the most is A2Z Scraplets chippies. I love chippies so much and put them on everything. Don't forget to hop on over to the A2Z Scraplets Facebook Challenge and join in with us. So much fun and you could be the lucky winner this month, you never know. Happy Crafting xxx

Truly Amazing

"Happy Mothers Day To All You Mum's Out There"

Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog. The post I would like to share with you today is of my beautiful mum. I was going to post this earlier as it is my A2Z Scraplets DT post but decided to hold off until Mother's Day. This months challenge for A2Z Scraplets on Facebook is all about Mothers or the Special Ladies in our lives. A great month for the challenge so I'm posting it today for my beautiful Mum in heaven.

I chose to do a canvas so I can put it on my wall in my craft room.

Even though mum was very sick in this photo I just love it. The beauty she had within her I can always see in this photo. Her beauty I could see in her eyes, her beautiful bright blue eyes that would shine bright when ever the boys and I walked into her room. They said it all.

For the chicken wire I decided to leave it natural. I love doing that sometimes with the chippies. I does tend to make them pop when the background it very busy. They seem to say look I'm here and they are not lost in the colours.

For my dream catcher I have used different colors of Dylusions paint to colour it and then I have used some Viva Inka Gold - Sliver here and their to give it a shine and a bit of a mystical look.

I think my title perfect for my mum as she was a truly amazing lady who I love and miss so much each day. I have done the same for my title as for my dream catcher and used Dylusions paint and then the Viva Inka Gold I chose to use a silver/blue.

On my background I have used the following -
 Dylusions Paint
Archival Ink
Clear Stamp

The other thing I have used on this canvas of my mum are Green Tara flowers. My mum was allergic to flowers, she got horrid migraines from them but she really loved them. She didn't have a lot in her garden because of the perfume but she loved watching them bloom.

Considering I have only used the two types of products on my chippies I think they have come up fantastic. Please remember to join in with this months challenge as it is a fun one and we would love to see what your take is on the challenge. You can find the challenge over on Facebook.
Thank you for popping in and Happy Crafting and Mother's Day xxx
