Adorable

Hello and welcome to my  blog. I'm sharing a page today created for this months challenge at Kraft + I just loved this challenge, the colours are so beautiful.

I chose to use a photo of my son Riley when he was just a baby. Blue eyed, cute and adorable but I'm his mum lol. He was always a happy and contented baby and not much has changed, he is now a happy and contented 18 year old.

For this challenge I had to use the colours - Orange, Teal and Copper.

I have used the colour copper on my chipboard along with the other two colours.
From the mood board I was also drawn to the beautiful circle photo and decided to do the chipboard to look a little like it. The teal and white patterned paper is a Kaisercraft paper and the white pattern is on it and you can ink it any colour you like.

The products I have used are -
Kraft Cardstock
Kaisercraft Patterned Papers (White and teal)
Simple Stories Patterned Paper - Orange Honeycomb
 Distress Oxide - Broken China
Distress Ink - Spiced Marmalade
Flowers by - 49 & Market, Green Tara and Monte Marte
A2Z Scraplets Chippies
White Cardstock (to boarder photo)
DecoArt Metallic Luster - Copper Kettle, Orange Flicker and Brilliant Turquoise
Prima, Art Alchemy Metallique - Rich Copper

I hope you have enjoyed popping in to see what I have been up to. I also hope that you are keeping well and safe. Please call back again as I love visitors and don't forget to leave some love so I know you popped in.

Happy

Hello and welcome to my blog and another DT post for August. This one is for Let's Get Sketchy and its a great sketch. I have chose to use a larger photo than I have been using for a long time now but it was one I had and I love it. The handsome boy is my son Harley.

OK first things first.... I don't normally admit to these things but today I am. The reason for that is I just want people to know that when scrapping and you make a mistake there is always a solution.
As I went to make this post and put the title in I looked at my layout and thought "What the heck does that say" I kept looking and then looked at the photos I was about to use "OH NO!!!!" The title was the last thing I glued down very late at night. I snapped the photos and went to bed. I had put the title upside down. How could I?
Time to think Brenda what are you going to do? Its is an Acrylic title and I used a very strong glue. On removing (or trying) I broke it in 3 places 😢 the paper ripped 😢Things were looking bleak.
Everything is fixable.... I cut a piece of the patterned papers, rounded the corners, inked it and placed over the top of my mess. I carefully glued down the word again. Ok it worked, and again it's true.... in Scrapping there are no mistakes because we can fix them. My secret silly mistake is not more.

Now for the products I used -
White Cardstock
Lindy's Stamp Gang Magical - Opal Sea Oats
Black Journal Pen
Ute truck Chippie

Distress Ink - Walnut Stain

My page is of my sons Riley and Harley when they were very little and bath time together was still so much fun.
