This Is What Awesome Looks Like.

Afternoon Ladies and welcome to my first post since I have
come home from the Scrapbookit Retreat. Oh and what fun it
was. Classes, scraping and awesome company.

One of the LO's I created at the Retreat was this one of my girl
friends son Lockie. If you knew this cute young man then you
would also know the title is just perfect for him lol.

I have created it for the challenge at Kraft It Up. For the March
challenge you had to create a LO using a different style than you
would normally create. This LO is very different for me. It also had
to include a list. My list is on the back of my LO. The list is about
things I need to do with my scraping.

The title chippie is by Scraptopia and the Steampunked one is by
WOW. For both I have covered them with Modeling Paste and
then with black Gesso. Over the top of this I sprayed them with
Ranger, Perfect Pearls Mist - bronze and heat dried them.

To create my back ground I have used three stencils, Scrap FX -
Whirlpools with modeling paste, TCW - Mini Bricks with light
grey ink and Prima - Cracked stencil with distress ink, Gathered
Twigs. These three stencils went well to create a boy background.
Underneath the photo I have used hessian, Gauze and cotton.

When I was creating this LO I was working alongside the very
talented Cindy Porter who also designs for Scrapbookit. I was so
lucky to be able to get guidance from such a mixed media talent.
This is what inspired me to do the things on my list.
Thank you Cindy.

Building Memories.

Hello all. The title of this LO has a very big meaning to
me. My beautiful mother has cancer and at the moment
it feels like we are building memories one day at a time.
Holding on tight to the ones we have and being very, very
grateful for the next one.

It is my DT layout for Scrapbookit.  Hope on over to the blog
and check out what we have all been up to this month.

I have used the Limelight Collection by Kaiser Craft. They are such
nice patterned paper and I also added the Collectables to the LO. The
title is a wow chippie and I used Kaiser brown and white ink on it.

Distressing of the patterned papers and a white pen to journal.
String, Kaiser tinny letters and the page is done.

I just love Harley's smile in this photo. I guess we have all been
through the "Smile" OH why did I say that faze.

Love the three of you. XXX

All Dressed Up

Hello everyone and as always welcome to my blog.
This is my DT post for Let's Capture Our Memories.
Please take the time to drop over to the blog and join
in the fun while looking at the other DT girls awesome
takes on this sketch.

I have also placed my LO in the challenge over at
Lasting Memories. Challenge #181 is "Early Spring"
and I had to use flowers.

This is my take. The photo is of my friend Mel's very
beautiful daughter Meghan.

I would first like to say that I know you are wondering where
my journal is..... I could not decide where to place it to fit with
the sketch and how I  was picturing the LO, so I decided to place
 it on the back.

I have chose white card stock and the patterned papers are by
Kaiser Craft - Lilac Avenue and Airy Fairy Collections. I used
Heidi Swapp Color Shine Spray - Chartreuse on the back ground.
The edges of the patterned paper were inked with Versa  Color Ink
- Pinecone.

The flowers are by Manor House and I have used a die for the
leaves. The fairy I have fussy cut from the patterned papers.
I inked the edge of the paper doily with Veras Color Ink - Gold.

I made the title from a die tag and the rubon is from Kaiser Craft.
I placed Meghan's name just below her photo. A little hard to see
but I didn't want it to be prominent. I used Kaiser's Tiny Alpha
Stickers for it. A little purple bling in two shades is used on the
photo corners. The lace is off a pillow lace (yes, I cut up a pillow
case I had because I couldn't find a lace in the color I liked. Before
you try to guess they were new pillow cases....Opps) The Butterfly
and heart resin I made myself from my molds.

I hope you have liked my take on the sketch at Let's Capture
Our Memories and please hope over to the blog. Let us girls
know what you think of our designs and join in the fun.

The Wild One

Hello all and welcome as always to my blog. Today
I would like to show you my latest creation for my
DT post at Scrapbookit.

This layout as each month is set by the months Guest
Designer. This time it was Mary and the challenge she
set was to create a LO or Card that had Texture, Layers
and the title was to be from a song or a quote. I must say
that us DT girls are very lucky as Jo sends out packs with
plenty of time. Instead of checking mine again I went in
hunt of a photo I knew I had of my son. Found!!! Now I
open my pizza box to begin work.....Oh....yes it had
beautiful flowers, how did I forget.

I was very lucky to have received the
papers by Kaiser Craft - Limelight Collection and flowers.

Ok new plan and this one I was very happy with.

If you know your `rock and roll` you will know that this beautiful
lady with her arm around me is Suzi Quatro. Yes I was very lucky to
get to meet Suzi in January this year and spend some time with her
before watching her tour. She is one truly very special and lovely
lady. It is a day I will always remember.
I used a small flower template by Kaiser Craft and modelling paste.
I left the modelling paste plain this time as I thought it looked better
with the colors I was using. I used my new Kaiser clear stamp -
Honeycomb with green ink on top of the paste and in a couple of
other spots as well. The beautiful flowers and golden/green vine
are all available  at the Scrapbookit store. I have layered the Kaiser
Craft - Limelight collection papers after distressing the edges of the
papers. I also used the limelight collectables pack and clustered some
of them. I used a paper doily underneath everything.

This guitar is by Kaiser Craft and I have inked it with brown and
then I used Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint - Clear Rock Candy.
Please call over to the Scrapbookit blog and join in the fun. You will
also find the little button to the store and be able to get products
through Jo that you have seen us DT girls use. While there though join
in on the challenge. It is a lot of fun and Jo will have a wonderful prize
at the end of the month for some lucky person.

Keep coming back ladies as I have a truly beautiful photo of myself and
the ever sexy Shannon Noll. I know when I get around to doing that one
you will love it "the pic anyway :)"   Hugs all.

Love Each Moment

Welcome once again to my blog. I have been a little slow
at bringing my latest DT post for Let's Capture Our Memories
to you on my blog. I have still been busy with mum and to cap
it off I'm in full swing with working out what secondary school
my eldest son is off to next year. :(  Yes I'm a clingy mum. I'm
not looking forward to this change in our lives at all. But no more
crying on my blog for now. It's time for my layout.

This is the sketch for this months challenge. It's a beauty so don't
forget to check out my fellow DT's at the blog and while there
please join in on the challenge fun.

I hope you like my take on the challenge. I just loved this
sketch and how my LO turned out. The photo is of my eldest
son Riley and a day we had together. A special day I will
always remember.

The patterned papers are by Kaiser Craft - Velvet Ensemble Collection.
The flowers I have fussy cut from the papers. I placed corrugated card
on my base paper. The chippie boarder, title and bench seat are by
Scraptopia. I colored them with Copic - Moss YG67. On the boarder
chippie I cut and stuck a piece of the corrugated card. Around the
patterned papers behind the photo I used my journal pen to do some
stitching on each. Around the photo itself I used a slick writer black-
medium pen to just make the photo stand out a little more.

Like always I love to fussy cut. It is great way of getting the optimum
from your papers and I just love cutting out the papers.

As you can see I have also fussy cut my son Riley from a second pic
and placed him on a seat and colored it green to match the seat in the
photo. It was such a beautiful day at the Ballarat Botanical Gardens.
