Live Laugh Love

Hello all and welcome once again. Today I'm posting a LO
of my eldest son Riley.  This LO was done for the challenge
over at Orange Paperie & Co. It was a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge
and I chose to do and I chose twine, orange and chippies.

As soon as I looked at the challenge I knew what I wanted to
do and my mind was racing. I had just the right photos for
this challenge.

Not only was I excited to know the exact pictures I wanted but
I'm so happy with the result. The photos were taken at the boy's
martial art Christmas party where they had their faces painted.
Riley was the cutest tiger and no matter how much he tried I was
only able to laugh when he tried to look scary.

My title is the first of the chippies I chose by Scraptopia. I Inked it
with Kaisercraft Tangello and the sponged a little of there black ink
over it. Once the ink was dry I then used Glossy Accents.

For my second chippie I also chose one by Scraptopia and used
again Kaisercraft inks - Tangello, Teal and white. On the heads I
also sprayed Dylusions Ink Spray - Lemon Zest.

As you can see in this close up I decided to use a plain Twin to
match with the cream cardstock in the background.

Even though I have used butterflies on my LO they were not
because I picked them from the Tic-Tac-Toe and nor were the
stamping I did in the background. I chose the butterflies because
they were orange and I fussy cut them from Kaisercrafts -
Curiosity Collection 12x12 sheet. The stamps are also by Kaiser
and are in my background - Chevron and Diamonds.

Now how could one be scared of that cute face :)

The patterned papers I used are from the Kaisercraft range - Dream Big.
Some of the other items I used to create this LO are a Sizzix Frame
Works Die, Orange Cotton, Corrugated Cardboard. Dylusions Inks -
Black Marble and Squeezed Orange.

Brothers Together

Hello again everyone and welcome to my blog. I would like to
bring to you this time a LO I have created for the June Inspiration
Board Challenge over at 123 Challenge Blog

Colour: Blue
Word: Together
Technique: Masking

The photo I chose is of my two sons Riley and Harley. The two of
them are always together and are best friends. I hope you like my
take on the challenge.

I created the layout on White Cardstock.  The papers I chose were
Graphic 45 - Little Darlings. I inked the edges with Faded Jeans
Distress Ink. I know many so they will never use flowers on boy
pages but I think there are times when they are just right. I love them
on this LO and so do the boys. They are small and large paper flower
along with a paper flower spray.

I have used gauze which I colored with Lindy's Stamp Gang Spray -
Blue Hawaiian and also Kaisercraft Ink - Island. The chipboard doily
is by JT's Laser Cuts and I sponged a little of the Island Ink on it.

For the background I used Modeling Paste on TCW Mini Harlequin
Mask. Once dry I then inked over the top with Versa Color - Cryan.
Also on the background I used a Kaisercraft Stamp - Arty with Distress
Ink - Faded Jeans.

Behind the photo which is mounted on royal blue cardstock I used
corrugated card board which I sprayed with Lindy's Stamp Gang
spray - Blue Hawaiian Blue and the painted it a little with Kaisercraft
white paint which in places had a slight blue tinge to if from the spray.

The chicken wire chipboard is by Dusty Attic and the title is cut from
royal blue cardstock using Sizzix Alpha Dies. I then inked very lightly
over the top with Kaisercraft - Island.

I hope you like my take on the challenge and if you have the time hop
on over to the 123 Challenge Blog and join in the fun. There is some
great inspiration from the design team to get your creative flowing.

Ribbon Box

Hello all and welcome to my post for Scrapbookit this month.
My first post of course was my LO and I chose to do a little
different for my second post.

I chose to do a pencil case by Kaisercraft but have made it into
a Ribbon Box for my son Riley to place his swimming ribbons
in. I hope that will help him to keep them all together and away.

I used the Kaisercraft - Game On!! Collection of patterned papers,
collectables and sticker sheet. The chipboard ribbons are also by
Kaisercraft along with the word ribbon which is from there Alpha
sticker sheet.

I used the sticker sheet to make the inside like a pool with the lane ropes
and the starting line.

On the ribbons on the front I used Fusion Pens from Kaisercraft to color
them and then numbers from the Alpha sticker sheet.

On both ends I used embellishments from the sticker sheet and
also the Collectables.

The photo of the swimmer on the side and the top of the box is no
other than my wonderful son Riley.

I hope you hop on over to the Scrapbookit blog and join in this months
Challenge. It is a great challenge ( set by me ) and not to hard either.
All you have to do is use a photo of a friend, the word friend must be
in your title and your jounaling must be more than just a few words.
See not a hard one but I'm sure you would have to agree a fun one. You
still have time to enter so hop on over. Click on the link in this post or my
side bar and it will take you straight there.

Cute

Hello everyone and once again welcome to my blog. I would
like to show you my DT layout for Let's Capture Our Memories.
I loved this sketch and was more than happy with the photo I
chose, my very beautiful mother.

Not only did I love the sketch but I also loved working with these
patterned papers. They are of course Graphic 45 - Secret Garden.
It is such a beautiful range of papers.

The photo was just perfect for these papers as my mother was
holding a bunch of gladioli bread and grown by my Grandfather.
My mother was so beautiful along with the flowers and these
papers. My dad has always said she was cute so I thought the title
was just right. The chippie title is by Scraptopia and I colored it
with my Copic pen.

The diamonds were cut from my Spellbinders die and I used a
Distress Ink on the edges - Gathered Twigs. The bird cage and
birds were fussy cut from the G45 papers.

The bird in the nest, rose and verse were also fussy cut from the papers.

I hope you have liked my take on the challenge. Please hop on over to
the Let's Capture Our Memories Blog and have a look at wheat the other
DT ladies have come up with. While there join in the great challenge
and have some fun.

A True Friend Is A Gift To Cherish

Welcome once again to my blog. I have been getting my
DT work done but have been a little slow posting this
month as I have had some time sick and I was no sooner
better and my beautiful son Harley become sick. He is still
unwell but sleeping in the beanbag beside me so I have a
little time to catch up.

The LO I have to show you is for the my DT challenge over
at Scrapbookit. Jo asked me to set the challenge for this month
and I don't think it was too hard. All you have to do is -

1. Scrap a photo of a friend.
2. Your layout must have the word friend in the title
3. Your LO must have  journaling which is more than a couple of words.

I don't think that is too hard. After setting it I received my pizza
box from Jo. As always I was excited to get it open and see what
I would be working with......I had received Kaisercrafts - Game On!
Collection. I was so happy, Riley has been a competitive swimmer
for some years now. The challenge for me would be finding the right
photo for the challenge. This is what I come up with.

The photo is of Riley and his fellow team mate Shogo. I have always
loved this photo and new straight away it was perfect for this LO.

The chippie is by WOW. I used modeling paste on it and then sprayed
it with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst - Blue Hawaiian Blue.

The collectables come in two different packets. One is Equipment
and the other Awards. I placed a little gorse on it too which I colored
with Distress Ink - Faded Jeans.

I used some sulky metallic cotton which Riley assured me had
a look of water :) All the other sporting ranges look just as great to.
On the white corrugated cardboard I sprayed a little Perfect Pearls
Mist - Turquoise and then dripped and let run some of it and also
some of the Lindy's Stamp Gang - Blue Hawaiian Blue. The edges
were inked with Distress Ink - Faded Jeans.

I hope you have liked this LO and if you have the time please hop
over to the Scrapbookit blog and join in the fun. The lucky winner
will receive an awesome prize from Jo.

Harley

Welcome once again everyone to my blog and my DT post
for Let's Capture Our Memories and sketch Challenge #75.
This is a great sketch and you still have plenty of time to hop
on over, check out what the other DT girls have been up to
and join in the challenge.

I hope you like my take on the sketch. The layout is of my very
handsome son Harley cutting his 3rd Birthday cake with his poppy.

The patterned papers I have used are from Kaisercrafts - "Save The
Date" collection. I have been going through some papers I have had
in my stash for some time. I seem to have this thing for buying papers
I love and then not wanting to use them because they are too nice.

New Years Resolution #1 was to start to use some of these papers and
I have been. I'm glad I did with this LO as I just love how it has come up.

The three chippies (Name, Helicopter and cake)  on this LO are from
Scraptopia and I have colored them with Copics. The Happy Birthday,
Hip Hip Hooray! and #3 have been cut from the patterned papers.

I have inked the edge of the papers with Brown Distress Ink which
has made them stand out a little more. I also mounted the photo up
from the papers.

Now don't forget to hop on over to the Let's Capture Our Memories
blog and join in. We would love to see you.

Believe

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. The LO I'm bringing
to you today I created for the May 23 sketch Challenge at

This is my take on the sketch and I chose a photo of my friend
Melissa and her son Jack. I just love the photo of the two of them.

The patterned papers I used in this range are Kaisercrafts - Periwinkle
Collection. The ornate circle chippie is from Molossi and I colored it
with Versa Color Ink - Pinecone.

I handmade the resin embellishments and inked them with the Versa
ink and also inked the edge of the patterned papers as well. The vine
sprays and willow vines are by Petaloo.

The Textured bloomas are also by Petaloo and are great as the packet
have matching colors of different style and sizes. Behind the photo I
used a acetate music sheet by Kaisercraft.

The title is by Manor House and I also used two Fiskar punches on
the edge of the background papers and over lapped and inked  them.
Around the edge of the patterned paper I used my journal pen to do
some stitching to finish it off.

Everything I have used on this LO you can get from Treasures Forever
Store. Also there is till time if you want to join in the this sketch
challenge at Stuck On U Sketches
