Special

Hello crafty friends and as always welcome to my blog. The page I would like to share with you is for my DT post over at Let's Get Sketchy. There is still some time to join in with the challenges for September so please hop on over and have a look.
This page I have created is of my son Harley and my beautiful Mum Helen. I love this photo of the two of them, I love every photo my mum is in though. The sketch I used is for week one and I loved it, but all the sketches are awesome.

Now for my page.

The patterned papers I chose to use are by KaiserCraft - Kaleidoscope Collection and I inked the edges with Archival Ink - Jet Black

Harley was only 4 when this photo was taken and hadn't had his operation (he had no mussel in his right eye, what was there was like jelly) on his eye yet. My mum didn't know she had cancer then either and she had the most beautiful blue eyes. They always drew me in they were so clear and blue and I could always see the love in them.

The flowers are by Petaloo - Chantilly Collection, Velvet Hydrangeas - Blue and the cute birds are from The Craft Stall. My special title is a Dusty Attic chippie and I have coloured it with  Kaiser Fusion - Poppy. My stitching and journaling is with a grey journal pen. Happy together and cherish is from the KaiserCraft sticker sheet.

I hope you have enjoyed stopping in at my blog to see what I have been up to. Please leave some love and call again as I love when you stop in. Don't forget there is still some time left to join in over at Let's Get Sketchy on the sketch I have done or one of the others for September.

Exquisite Dancer

Hello and welcome to my blog and my DT post for 123 Challenge Blog. The September challenge was a wonderful one and I'm sorry I haven't got my post up until now. I have had an 8 day stay in hospital and then 2 weeks recovery at home (Still mending) before I have been able to sit at my craft/laptop desk. The requirements for the challenge were three that I had in mind what I was going to do with them, create a page of the beautiful Miss Meghan, my girlfriends daughter.

Now for my take on the challenge.

I created my page on white cardstock and to start my background I used a Distress Marker - Dusty Concord, Stormy Sky, Mustard Seed and Evergreen Bough with Tim Holtz Air Sprayer.
I then used a  Dusty Attic stencil - Stars and a TCW stencil - Mini Sheet Music.
with the sheet music stencil I used modeling paste which I mixed some Stampin' Up Ink - Egg Plant with. With the Star Stencil I used the same ink and then edged each star with a purple journal pen. Once this was done I then went over each star with a Wink Of Stella Brush - Clear.

The flowers I have used are by Green Tara. The white ones I used some of the Elegant Eggplant Ink on so they matched in with the colour theme.

For my title I used old white Thickers I had and then coloured them with a Copic - Amethyst and over the top I then used the Clear Wink Of Stella.

The ballerina I fussy cut from G45 papers and coloured it with chalk to blend in with the colour of the challenge.

I hope you have enjoyed having a look at my page and the closeups. Again sorry I didn't have this post done with time to join in the fun on the challenge. The next challenge is going to be just as much fun so please stop in for it and add your page, we would love to see what you create and have a chance of winning a wonderful prize or maybe being guest designer on the next challenge.
