INSPIRED By You Both

Hi and welcome to my blog and my mid month page for Colorful Creations. My photo is of my two very handsome growing way to fast sons and myself. So first off it's time to give you the challenge details and then my take on it, so here goes -

What inspires you to be the creator you are, what inspires your creativity, your goals dreams, what or who keeps you grounded. Think of a person, place, music, season, etc. Create something that inspires you. Along with who inspires you, use your favorite embellishments!

(What inspires me are my two wonderful sons Riley and Harley, they are my world. My favorite embellishments I used are from the patterned papers themselves - fussy cutting them, I love doing this when ever I can)

Now it's time for the closeups and the products I used. -

Patterned Papers - Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane Collection
Distress Ink -Brown
Memory Maze Chippie
Distress Marker - Peeled Paint

Anzac Day

Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog and my May DT post for Let's Get Sketchy. This month we have a great sketch for you as always. Brenshevia does a wonderful job creating them and we love to see you takes on the sketch. Yours could be the one that wins a wonderful prize.

Now for my age, and it is of this Anzac day and both my boys. They make me so proud all the time and this was not exception. Riley played in the school senior band at Sebastopol while Harley marched. It was then off to Ballarat City March and service where the boys marched with their school together. They both would have also made their Great Grandfathers proud.

Patterned Paper - Birch Craft - Australia Forever (my background paper)
Other patterned paper - Kaisercraft (very old)
Black and Red Journal Pen
Black Cardstock

Remember

Hello crafty friends, I'm here on my blog again yo show you my latest DT page for Meg's Garden Blog. My layout was created using the stunning Sherlock Journal Vol. 11 papers. These are stunning papers and I have enjoyed working with them. I decided I would use a photo of one of the oldest homes in our local area. It is far from livable now with the Lloyd Family moving out many, many years ago.
Every time I go past I always think to myself if only the walls could talk. I love the history of the area and knew these papers would be perfect for my photo.

I created my page on a cream cardstock and on the edges of the patterned paper I used Distress Ink - Walnut Stain. I used the same ink on the corrugated cardboard just to blend the colour in a little more.  I left the chippie natural as I thought it suited the page better.

The vintage trinket behind the flowers is a XX Long Filigree, there are different ones  and they are stunning on all craft projects and I love this one.  The flowers are the beautiful Green Tara and you can get all the colours in the Meg's Garden Store.

The quill and ink well have been fussy cut from the patterned papers. The Mesh Ribbon comes in 8 different colours and is also by Green Tara and you can find them in the store as well. They are great colours and I love using them.

The brass pen nibs are perfect with these papers, they are exact to the to the quill en that I have fussy cut. The Lions Head round ring I just love. It looks so cute and I thought it would look like something you might find inside the house. Also in this flower cluster is the Lock 2 Tall.

The other thing I used on my page is a chippie title and I colored it with a Ditress Marker - Aged Mahogany, a great match for the patterned papers.

I hope you have enjoyed popping into my blog. Remember over at Megs Garden there are many creations using these beautiful products for you to see and get inspiration from.

Family

Time is getting on tonight but I wanted to share with you my latest DT page for 123 Challenge Blog before I go to bed. My page is of my family. My husband Graeme, boys Riley and Harley and myself. I like this photo so much and when looking at it wish we kept up the family photo every year. But with a husband who doesn't like his photo taken and is away at work so much it just seems to be the boys and me so the early photos are special for the boys. Now for the challenge -

Don't forget you have to have the three (3) requirements to be eligible for possibly being the monthly winner. It would be a shame to miss out just because you forgot one element. Now it's time for my take and hopefully I can inspire you just a little.

My flowers in the background have been created with a toilet roll center and if you keep scrolling down my blog you can find a tutorial on how to create them. Now its time for product details and some closeups.

Forever

Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog. Wow this year seems to be flying by, another month and another 1st challenge for the month. I would like to share my DT page for Colorful Creations. This one is another beauty with it being titled Throwback Challenge. It's easy -

Your challenge is to think Throwback. Something that suddenly reminds you of something in the past this could be in the form of throwback papers you have, embellishments, tools, throwback themed papers, colors, photos, memorabilia ANYTHING that will help you express any of your favorite past times.

Now for my take - A page I created of my mum and dad. I love this photo of them. It was taken before my mum got sick. She looked so beautiful, so happy, so in-love and healthy. If only we could turn back time but at least we keep our memories forever and our photos for us and others to see. Never loose sight of the beauty and love in a person. Make sure every day they know their worth and your love for them. Make it a love forever.

(I decided to go back with my photo as well and use one from many years ago of my mum and dad. The papers were very old ones from my stash - G45 and Maja Designs. I decided to then go with old techniques that were being used on everything all the time when I first started scrapping - Fussy cutting, stickers and rubons.)

Now it''s time for the products I used -
G45 Patterned Paper to create my layout on
G45 Patterned Paper for fussy cut flowers and butterflies

Kaisercraft Clear Stickers - Lacey Boards

Kaisercraft Clear Sticker - Script Words
