Hello all and welcome once again to my blog. I'm sorry I haven't been able to get my posts done but I'm away in Stawell at the moment while my eldest son Riley attends music school. I have been have internet problems, Grrrr. It looks like it is fixed now.
The post I would like to show you is my latest DT post for Megs Garden. I made the album as gift for my beautiful mum (Helen). She is also my best friend and my world.
This album is very special to me and I have been so lucky to be able to
use two different paper ranges and some very beautiful embellishments
form Meg's Garden store.
One of the papers I chose to use are from The French Garden Collection.
My mum has always had a love of the colour green and I knew that she
would love these papers and that Choosing to use the bird bath for the
cover she would love.
The fabric flowers are Wild Moss and are a perfect match for the green in the patterned papers.
I just love this paper love heart doily, so elegant. The fabric flowers on this page are Bridal Veil and work so well with the doily. The verse and cute angle picture are cute from the Fairy Land Collage papers.
On the page below I once again used one of the paper doily's - Mini square.
I inked it with Distress Ink to bring in mums favorite colour again
since the baby photo is of mum. Again using the Wild Moss Fabric
Flowers. The clock I have fussy cut from the 12x12 Collage papers - Old World Time.
Again I have fussy cut another of the clocks and this timer I have used a Paper Lace Strip. The picture of the beautiful lady is From the collage paper - Vintage Beauties and there a quite a few different picture to pic from and fussy cut out. The flowers are Paper Azaleas and Viola Posy - pale pink.
On the opposite page I fussy cut a shoe from Put On Your Dancing Shoes. Behind it I place a photo of mum and made it so I can journal on the back. I also cut another tag and place one of the transparencies over to the top.
Now for my next page.
I just love this photo of mum and I. Again I have used the Paper Lace
Strip and inked it with Distress ink. This time I added a little of the
green ink to the paper Azaleas and then coloured the stamen centers
green to match in. The butterfly has been fussy cut from The Forgotten Meadows - Cut and Create sheet.
On the adjoining page I used a butterfly oval laser cut frame.
The flowers I coloured with Copics and the outside of the frame I used
Viva Croco Crackling. The Cotton Lace is just beautiful and I placed one
of the clock that I fussy cut out just coming out from behind the
photo.
I just love the lace I have used behind this photo of mum, it is stunning. On the opposite page I have used one of the Bond Square doilies and folded it to make an envelope which I placed tags in. This butterfly has also been fussy cut.
Each of the tags have been cut from the ATC papers - Vintage French Floral Postcards, Vintage Ornate Tags and once again the Put On Your Shoes page.
This photo of mum, dad and my two sons Riley and Harley was taken at
Christmas time. It is deferentially one of my favorites. On the opposite
page I have fussy cut the flowers and clock from the Mad Tea Party
papers and razed it up with dimensions squares. The chippie butterfly is
by Scraptopia and I coloured it with Copics.
My next page is of mum and my youngest son Harley.
To create the bow I used Jute Ribbon. I have fussy cut the flowers,
butterflies, tags and the word treasure from the patterned papers. The
doily is from a die in my die stash. On the opposite page I created a
pocket and die cut some tags and I will be using them to journal on the
back off.
These are my final two pages before I show the back cover. I love these two pages. The flowers, lace and the fussy cut lady - Vintage Bathing Bellie No 6 have all worked well together I think.
Well I hope you have all liked my Mini Album/Book for my mum (Helen).
Please check out the store there are so many goodies. Dont forget to
keep coming back to the blog and having a look at what everyone on the
design team has been up to.
For now though my back cover (Which I chose to leave plain) and Happy Crafting.
