Canvas Class

Welcome to my blog. Today I would like to share with you my latest class I taught at the
Treasures Forever Scrapbooking Retreat last weekend.
Wow what a great retreat and also what a fun class. All the lady's love doing it which was so wonderful. Everyone agreeing is was so nice to do a canvas and not have to worry about measurements and loads of concentration.  The lady's were already deciding who they were giving the canvas to for Christmas before they were finished and most were thinking of Grandchildren.

These are the sample canvases I created for their inspiration -

Now a few pics of some of the girls working on their creations.

This next photo is some of the girls finished.

Canvas, Chipboards, Dream Catchers, Crayons, Rubons and Photos are the main combinations used along with lots of fun. You know when someone enjoys your class when they are working out the next class they want you to do in 2018.
Thanks ladies I had the best time, you were all so much fun and your canvases come up beautiful.
Thanks Roz - Treasures Forever for having me each year to teach a class at retreat.  I'm also looking forward to the day classes I will be teaching in 2018. You ladies will be keeping me on my toes that's for sure. Thank you.

Art Journal Tutorial

Welcome to my blog.
I would like to share with you my Art Journal double page I created of my son Riley.
It has been created in my Art Journal which has hand made paper so that is why you are seeing some white around the edge from the page before and after. I love creating in this art journal because of the texture of the paper. When doing it with one of these journals though always remember to Gesso the pages so there is no bleeding through to the other side or you will ruin other work created on the page before or the next page you will create on.
This is my finished journal page and you can find all the details of how I did it over at The Off The Rails Blog. There is the monthly challenge, my tutorial and many other inspirations from the Design Team so please come on over and join in with us.

Thank you so much for stopping in to my blog.

Snapchat

hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog and my post for Let's Get Sketchy. For this page I had a smile on my face all the time because of the to photo's I chose to use. My son Harley was having fun with his friend Taylor on Snapchat and when they send you photos like this how can one possibly not scrap them.
I chose to turn the sketch as I wanted to use the two portrait photos instead of landscape.

When I chose these two photos I decided to keep the page very simple so I would make the boys really pop out and I think I have made that happen.

The products I used were -
 White Cardstock
Kaisercraft Patterned Paper - Prairie Lane Collection
Kaisercraft Sticker Sheet
Die cut Letters
Black Journal Pen

There are times where you have a simple sketch and you bling it up and times where you just know if you do that with sketch it will take away from the photo.  I think I achieved exactly what I was looking for with this one.

I hope you have enjoyed popping in and that you join in with us over at Let's Get Sketchy.  I would love to see what you come up with for the sketch.
Happy Crafting.

Art Journal - Old but beautiful

Welcome as always to my blog. I would like to share with you my DT post for Archi-scraps. My posts for Archi-scraps are normally done in my art journal and I have done this again. My double page is of my youngest son Harley. We had been doing some exploring of the streets an back alleys of Ballarat. I loved the the brick work of this one and the graffiti on it which I don't normally like just seemed to add a little something to it. The thing that had to be added to the challenge was knots.

This is my take on the challenge and I have created two knots on it.
