Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog on this sunny Monday morning (well it's sunny at my house). I sharing with you my post created for this months challenge over at A2Z Scraplets. We have a great challenge in store for you this month.
This months challenge is a little different to the mood boards you normally see here. This one is a sketch. Originally it was going to also include the colour BUT you no longer need to worry about that you just need to use the sketch.
For my page I chose to use the colour but you will see by the rest of the Design Team you don't have to so please join in with us and have some fun, you never know you might be our lucky winner this month and I know you will love the prize.
Anyway on with my page.

The photo I have chose is a family photo of my mum when she was a very young girl. She is the eldest child in the family. My mum in at the back on the left. There is one brother missing as he wasn't born yet and he was the last in mums family.

I have used two wonderful chippies by A2Z Scraplets and used them together to create my title.

The patterned papers I have used are by Kaisercraft. Other products used were -
Distress Ink
Doily die

Extra Special

Hi and welcome to my blog. I would like to share with you my latest DT page for A2Z Scraplets. My photo is of my two sons in 2004 and this title is so true. Children were so wanted but doctors had a story for me that was heartbreaking. Then with a wonderful doctors help I had my first on Riley. All the specialists sad that was it and another would never be. Wrong, along come Harley so for my title there are no truer words. Extra Special these two boys are.

This months challenge is all about Fathers/Males in our lives. These are two of the males in my life that I love with all my heart.
Now for my page -

The products I have used are of course two Fantastic chippies by A2Z Scraplets. They are my title and Star Flourishes. Other products are -

That's My Boy

Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog. I would like to share with you my latest DT page created for the challenge over at Off The Rails
When I first looked at the challenge I thought straight away of photos of my sons when they were you. Harley my youngest always had a talent for getting more food on him than in him. This photo is testament to that.
This challenge is all about using food somewhere on your project, remembering it doesn't have to be a layout. It can be a card, canvas, anything and once it is don you just need to put it on your blog and hop on over too the Off The Rails Blog and link it up.

Now for my page of Harley -

Some of the products I used are -

Kaisercraft Stencil

Australia

Hello and welcome to my blog and my post for the second sketch challenge over at Let's Get Sketchy. I have turned the sketch and I have used an aboriginal photo which I think is just beautiful. I see an amazing man full of life, knowledge and amazing stories. His smile and eyes tell so much of his heart for me and I think it is as big as that smile.

When I started to do this page I decided not to make it busy. He doesn't look like when this photo was taken that he was too busy. I think he was sitting in the richness of our country telling stories, listening and laughing. Enjoying his life. For this reason I decided there would be no busyness.
I wanted him to stand out, be seen, for all to see his smile and those beautiful eyes of life.

The products I used were -
Kaisercraft Patterned Papers
Chippie - Grass Seed Heads
Inka Gold - Brown Gold and Old Silver
Crafters Letter

"We don't remember days we remember moments"
I think this is so true of everyone but when I look at this amazing mans face I think he would remember every moment in his life along with every moment he has been told about.

Thank you so much for popping in and please hop on over and join in the fun with us at Let's Get Sketchy for the second sketch for this month. I would love to see your creation.

Love You

Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog. I'm here with you today to share my latest creation using two awesome chippies by A2Z Scraplets
The photo I have used is of my very young mother. It was taken in Holland for her passport just before she come to Australia to live with her parents.

For my tittle I chose to use Dylusions paint which I applied with a paint brush. When it was dry I then used a makeup sponge with Archival Pigment Ink - Moonlight White sponged over the top.

Some of the other products I have used are -
Corrugated Cardboard
Kaisercraft Patterned Papers
Little Birdie Flowers
White Cardstock

For the Chicken Wire I used a white Paint Pen. I find them so easy and less messy but if you don't have them then any acrylic paint will give you the same effect.

I hope you have enjoyed calling in and seeing my latest creation of my beautiful Mum and that I have been able to inspire you a little.

Love Knows No Bounds

Welcome to my blog and my challenge page for A2Z Scraplets Chippies. The September challenge is a great one because it's all about Fathers/Males.
My page is of my girlfriends husband Brett and their daughter MacKenzie. I had been waiting for this challenge to come around so I could use the photo of the two of them for Fathers Day as I love it so much. It is just a perfect photo.

I have created my background on white cardstock. I first started with using Tinby Designs Color Crush - Golden Toast. Next I used Texture paste -Opaque Crackle and two different stencils. Over the top of the crackle paste when dried and cracked I used my new love DecoArt Metallic Lustre - Lavish Green and applied it with a dry brush. I then used White Acrylic paint to splatter here and there. Once this was done I used a thin Paint Pen to free hand the triangles.
I then placed it aside and got to work on my A2Z Scraplets chippies.

First I started by painting the whole title white and once this was done I used Infusion coloured Stain - The Sage on it. This is a powder stain that you sprinkle on and then spray with water and heat gun it dry. This meant there were very little patches of just visible white that now had a slight tinge of light green.
I then used a sanding file and very, very lightly sanded the words to give it a more patchy look.
Once the above was complete I then used another of my new favorites Prima Antique Brilliance Wax - Green Brocade just on mainly on the upper area of each word for some shadowing and I applied it with a dry brush.

Next it was time to do my background hearts and it was so easy. Again using another new love added to my craft room Nuvo Embellishment Mousse - Fresh Copper also applied with a dry brush.
Four new additions to my craft space and you have now seen them all. I love trying new things and I think they have paid off for a different look.

It was then time to put the page together. I mounted the photo on white cardstock that I had used the Infusion - The Sage on as it had great colours and was what I used on the title.
I glued down the hearts and photo on top. Once this was done I glued my title on place and the page was finished.
