Riley's Big Day

Hello and a big welcome to my blog. I would like to start by saying Happy Easter to you, your family, friends and everyone you love.

Today I'm sharing my layout created for this months challenge at Let's Get Sketchy. This month our challenges are being placed on the blog as normal but entry will be on our challenge page on Facebook.
If you click on the link it will take you straight there. Now for the sketch and my take on it.

The handsome young man in the photos is my eldest son Riley. Due to Covid regulations he had to wait some time to celebrate his 18th Birthday but when he did it was a fantastic party with family and friends.
I can't believe how fast the years went by but he has turned into such an amazing man and son that I'm so proud of.
He chose the design for his cake and a girlfriend of mine made it for him along with the 18 cupcakes to put the candles in.

The products I chose to create my page are -
White Cardstock
American Crafters Patterned Papers
Wooden Veneer Alpha Letters
Black Cardstock
Arcival Ink - Jet Black
Kaisercraft Clear Stamp
Mix of different coloured Distress Oxides
Journal Pen

Thank you so much for popping in to see what I have been creating. Don't forget to join in with us on Facebook. You can go there from my link here or you can go to the Let's Get Sketchy Blog and click on the Facebook Link on the side bar and it will take you there.

Turn Back Time

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I'm sharing my DT layout created for the April Challenge at White with 1 over on Facebook.
The photos I chose to use are of my boys taken a few years back on a family holiday to Swan Hill. We went to the Pioneer Settlement and they got to dress in period costumes. They were both told not to smile as in the pioneer days you didn't smile in photos, they sure pulled it off lol.

Now for the challenge. Don't forget it is white with one colour (Peach Melba) and this month we also have a sketch. I chose to turn the sketch for my layout.

The products I used are -
White Cardstock
Graphic 45 Patterned Paper
Kaisercraft Clear Stamp
Jet Black Arcivial Ink
Alpha Letters
Old Music Book Paper
Graphic 45 Adhesive embellishments
Journal Pen

Thanks so much for popping in and please come on over to the Facebook page and join in the fun with us.

Busy Bee

Hello crafty friend and welcome to my blog. I'm up on the Off The Rails Scrapbooking challenge page this week with my DT tutorial post for this months challenge.
This month is all about nature and I knew exactly what photo I wanted to use.

I chose a photo of a bee that was busy collecting pollen in a tree at my mums. There were so many bees collecting that we could hear there buzz from some distance away. It is the same every year the tree flowers. Every year I do the same thing and take photos of them as I find them fascinating. It's amazing how much they collect before going back to the hive.

In the photos you can see one of the pollen sacks nice and full.
Now for the challenge and my take on it.

The products I used are -
Webster's Pages Vellum (Background, glued to white cardstock)
Purple Cardstock
Black Cardstock (Mounted photo on)

Washi Tape
ARTstacks tissue paper flowers
Bees (printed from internet and fussy cut)
Dimension tabs
Journal Pen

Believe In Yourself

Hello and welcome to my blog. Tonight I'm sharing my DT page for this months challenge over at White with 1 on Facebook.
Like always we have an amazing challenge for you to join in with. As always you have a colour and this months is Ultramarine to use with your white. We also have a mood-board and you have to choose either Strips, Bows or Buttons. You cam use all three if you want. I chose to use Buttons.

I made my own flowers with white cardstock that I had sprayed with a marine blue and then cut the flowers out with a die. I then put them together and placed a button in the middle of each one.

The other products I used are -
White Cardstock
Kaisercraft Patterned Papers
Leaf Die
Distress Ink - Walnut Stain
Scrip Stamp
Gauze
Journal Pen

Thanks so much for stopping in to see what I have been up to. I hope that you come on over to Facebook and join in with us.

Life

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I'm posting a scrap layout I have created for this months challenge over at ArtStacks. You can find the challenge on Facebook. You don't have to use their products to join in and it's so much fun.

This months inspiration board is just beautiful. My inspiration was from the beautiful yellow, the butterfly and the hands.

The photo is of me when I was a very young girl.
The wooden letters title I chose formed part of my journaling.

"LIFE.... Opened many doors for me. I just had to take hold in my hand."

Some people are not so lucky in life to have things as good as I did. My mum always made sure that every door that could be opened for me was and all I had to do was choose which door I wanted to go through and take hold of what was there.

The door beside my photo is on ArtStack tissue paper and I have used my water colour paints to colour the door and leave the wall natural.
The hand is also ArtStacks tissue paper and I have left it natural as well.

The products I used are -
ArtStacks Printed Tissue - Doors and Window Pack
                                      -Faces and Figures Pack
AB Studio Patterned Paper - May Day
49 & Market Flowers
Petaloo Willow Vine
Fussy cut butterflies
Wooden letters
Journal Pen

Thank you so much for popping in to see what I have been up too. Please join in at ArtStacks, it's loads of fun.
