Adventure

Hello all and welcome to my blog as always. This will be my last post for November and then yes.....December and the big jolly fellow in his red suit will be the talk in all the homes.

Christmas......My boys and my Mum will be the focus of my Christmas this year. They are every year but I want to make this one extra special for them. This will be the first time we have had Christmas at my house instead of Mums. dad and Mum have always done Christmas at their place but this time Mum just isn't up to it so we are having a change. It will be so nice to make the day special for her like she has done for us all these years.

I hope each and everyone one of you have special family and or friends to spend it with. May the day be filled with love and happiness.

Now for my last post for the month. The layout I would like to show you is for my DT post over at Let's Capture Our Memories. The photos I have used are from our resent holiday this year to Queensland. What a great time we had. Below is the sketch I had to use and the layout.

We were at Thunderbird Park and the boys had so much fun mining for Thunder Eggs.  It was such a hot day but it never stopped them till they had their mining buckets filled. When we had the eggs cut open some of them were just beautiful.

The patterned papers I used are by Kaisercraft - Closeup Collection. The rub-on are paper Xtra and Kaisercrafts - Life. The ink on the patterned papers is Distress Ink - Black Soot and the ink over the modeling paste which I used on a 6x6 Prima Stencil is Distress Ink - Walnut Stain.

The other things I used on this layout are Washi Tape, and EK Boarder Punch and Prima Color Blooms Spray - Vintage Coal.

I hope you like the layout. It was a great sketch to work with.

How Time Flies

Hello all and welcome to my latest post layout that I'm submitting to the color challenge at Sassy Scrappers. I'm just loving the challenge this month with such awesome colors on the Mood Board. Even thought the photos are yummy and pretty looking I decided to go with a male look using the colors only. If you like vintage cars you may still find it to be a yummy layout with a touch of tough instead of maybe the girly pretty :)

The photo I have used is of a vintage car when Graeme and I took the boys to a show at  Newstead.
There were so many vintage cars to be seen and loads of photos take. I loved this one and thought the color was perfect for the challenge too. I decided to cut the car out as there were many things going on in the background that detracted for the beauty of this car.

The awesome patterned papers I used are by KaiserCraft - Garage Days Collection. The embellishments I cut from the patterned papers. The little number plate is from the rub-ons in the collection. I used the Kaiser diamonds template with modelling paste and over the top I used Distress Ink - Vintage Photo

I also used Vintage Photo for inking the edge of my papers.  The title is a WOW chippie and I used Distress Embossing Powder - Vintage Photo on it. The photo doesn't do this embossing powder justice as it looks darker in the pic but it is a truly beautiful embossing powder that does have a real vintage look to it.

I hope you like my take on the challenge over at Sassy Scrappers. I'm looking forward to the next one and yes it will be December. The year is coming to a close fast, way to fast.

When I Think Of Love I Think Of You.

Welcome my crafty friends to my blog. I love you calling over and seeing what I have been up to. Today I would love to show you a layout of my son Riley and I. I have created it for my DT at Scrapbookit Blog. There is still time left to for you to join in the challenge that has been set by fellow DT Tania. The challenge she set for November you will require the follow -
STENCIL

SPRAYS

CHIPBOARD
As this is my second post I have created a few extra things, I have been trying very hard at the moment to keep myself busy as my mind is running wild with stress over my mum who is sick. While I craft or do things with my boys it helps. But enough of that and on with my post :)
I just love this range of papers I got to work with. The Simple Stories Kit - Hello Baby has so much in it. First is my layout.

Since I have a couple of things to show I have decided to just list what I have used.
Kaiser Blooms
manor House Flowers
Gauze
Distress Ink - Vintage Photo
Kaiser Stencil - Crosses
On gauze and stencil I used Lindy's Stamp Gang - Blue Hawaiian Blue

The title chippie is by WOW and the heart chippies are ScrapFX - Sweethearts. On the chippies I used Lindy's Stamp Gang Magical - Teal.
Sprays - Heidi Swapp Color Shine - Mustard, Rose and Citron
Also on Background - Faber Castell Gelatos - Pink x 2 shades, dark Green, Lime, Light Blue.

 MY LITTLE EXTRAS

I have made a small gift/gift card bag and also a Pillow box for the same thing. Other than using Twine, Distress Ink - Vintage Photo and a new out Fiskars label/hole/eyelet punch I only used the Simple Stories Kit that I used for my layout. I think they would be ideal for gift cards.

The other one I made was a gift card envelope. I used a small Kaiser Envelope to make it and again the Simple Stories Kit. On the edges I used Distress Ink - vintage Photo front and back. On the front I
used a WOW Baby Chippie. There was a boy and Girl. As you see I chose the girl. I did a little coloring with my Copics. I used a journal pen around the elephant and heart balloon on the back.

The final thing I made from the kit was a card. What is a gift card package without a card. The card I created on a Kaiser card from one of the their card packs. The items I used are -
Simple Stories Hello Baby kit
Distress Ink - Vintage Photo
Brown Journal Pen for stitching
Kaiser paper Doily
Kaiser Pearls
Kaiser New Born Rub-on

Now we come to the end of my second Scrapbookit post. Remember to hop on over and join in the fun and maybe win an awesome prize. Check out what the other girls have been creating. We would all love to see you.

Hayley and Molly

Hello all and welcome to my blog. I have had some highs and lows in my world at the moment but the one thing that is always a high is my crafting. I love to create and doing my beautiful family and friends brings me great joy and also a place to hide from anything not so pleasing in my world. I loved creating this layout of a friends beautiful daughter Hayley and the baby lamb are hand raised.

I have created it for my DT post at Let's capture Our Memories. It is of a wonderful sketch by Laura Whitaker, so please hop on over and join in the challenge.

Below is my take on the sketch using the very beautiful patterned papers by BoBunny - Pincushion.

The hot-air balloon I fussy cut from the papers and the butterfly's I stamped on the papers with Kaisers Flutter clear stamp and cut them out. I used the Flutter stamp on my background with Distress Ink - Black Soot and Versa Color Ink - Orange.

I have used gauze behind the flowers and with my cream papers flowers I inked them a little with the Black Soot Ink. The other flowers are Petaloo - Spring Darjeeling Collection. I just love so many of the Petaloo flowers. The rub-0ns in my title are Kaiser - Retro Alphas.

The doily behind the photo is also fussy cut from the patterned papers. The LOVE of A child rub-on is by Porta Craft.

I hope you like these papers as much as I do and that the sketch and my layout have inspired you to join in the fun at Let's Capture Our Memories. Until my next post......Happy crafting.

A Brothers Love.

I'm on a roll today, maybe every day should be my birthday, yep like that would happen. It has been good to do the catching up though and if i hurry after tea I can spend all my time scrapping. Yippee to that I say. But for now it is this post.....My latest DT post for Scrapbookit. What a great challenge this month that has been set by my fellow DT Tania.

The challenge is Mixed Media and to join in with the challenge you need to use the following -
STENCIL
SPRAY
CHIPBOARD
This is my take on the challenge -

The patterned papers I used are Simple Stories - Hello Baby 12x12 collection kit and it comes with so much to create a beautiful layout. If you are a person who is unsure what embellishments to use with your patterned papers or what alpha letters then this is a kit for you. It comes with 6 12x12 doubled sided card stock patterned paper, 6 sheets of double sided signature element pieces which varies in size, 1 12x12 sheet of fundamentals card stock stickers, 1 12x12 sheet of expressions card stock stickers and 6 bonus 4x6 transparency photo overlays.

The stencil I chose is the KaiserCraft Quarters - Dots. I used modeling paste and then when dry I used the same stencil again but this time with KaiserCrafts Ink - Saffron and then over the top I used Tinby metallic Melts - Sherwood Green (Yes - yellow with Green over it). Next I used the same stencil but this time I used Distress Embossing ink and Tinby Metallic Melts - First Light. Once all this was done I used my journal pen and went around each of the dots that I had created with the modeling paste.

The sprays on my back ground are Mister Huey's - Mint Julep and Powder Blue.
Lindy's Stamp Gang - Blue Hawaiian Blue.
My flowers are a mix of KaiserCraft and Prima. The Kaiser flowers are Mini Paper Blooms - Buttercream, Ice Berg and Sage. Also I used Kaiser leaves.
For the Prima flowers I used - Mini Me Flowers and I inked them a little with Distress Ink - Vintage Photo, once put together I then used a Ribtex Beadz - Aqua or pearls Olive in the center.

I inked the gauze with Distress Ink - Old paper. I also used the same ink on the KaiserCraft Sheet Music clear stamp on my background.
Mixed in with the gauze is some cotton.
The chippies are Scrap FX - Sweethearts. They are so cute in a variety of different sizes. I colored them with a Copic - Spectrum Green (G02) and then put some Sherwood Green Tinby Melts over that. I have done it so it doesn't fully cover.

On the doily I used KaiserCraft Ink - Island.
The patterned papers I inked the edge of with Vintage Photo.
The other embellishments were from the sticker sheets and there are so many to pick from. When I placed the hearts on the layout I decide to use my journal pen around them just like the dots. My title is from the Alpha sticker sheet.

I hope you have enjoyed my take on the challenge and please hop on over to the Scrapbookit Blog and join in the fun. Some lucky person at the end of the month will end up with a fab prize from Jo.

Good Times

Hello and as always welcome to my blog. Today being my birthday I decided to do what I love best....scrap related work. A good time to catch up on my blog posts. This post today is for my DT at 123 Challenge Blog.  If you are a regular visitor to my blog you would know how it works :) for those who are calling for the first time, it's a great blog challenge. It works on 3 requirements and they are Color, Word and Technique. Everything else is up to you.

As always these two every good looking young men are my sons Riley and Harley. The photo was taken on our resent holiday to Queensland. We went into Brisbane and went on the big wheel. Wow was it awesome and you could look all over the city.

The Patterned paper I chose is Kaisercrafts - Handmade collection. I loved these papers as they had a copper color in them and also looked quite boy for what I was wanting to do. For the stitching on different sections I used my brown journal pen. The fern leaves are a  Cherry Lyn Designs Die. The chevrons I cut from the patterned paper.

To create my background I used Kaisercrafts Quarter stencil, modeling paste, Clear Bubble Wrap and Script stamp, Ink it up - Metallic Copper Ink, Perfect Pearls Mist - Perfect Copper and Pipe Dreams Ink Embossing Powder - Sunburnt.

The ornate tag is a Spellbinders die and I used Kaisercrafts Retro Alpha Rub ons to create my title.

Boyz Rule

Hello again. yes as you can see I'm doing catch up, Bad Brenda :)
This is my second post for last month at Scrapbookit. I have used the same kit but taken it in a different direction this time. I have decided not to use a school photo so you can see how versatile these papers really are. This layout is of my youngest on Harley and the title suits my boys very well as they do rule in my home lol.

As you can see he love to ride around the farm.
This layout has been created on white card stock and as I said it is with the same patterned papers as my last layout - Bella! Boutique Inspiration School Days Kit.

For my title this time I used Kaiser craft Alpha Stickers - Sea Breeze. The Washi tape is also by Kaiser and so is the Clear Stamp - Arty. I love this stamp, I think it has a boy look about it. To ink the edges of the patterned papers I used Black Soot Distress Ink.
The spray is Prima Color Bloom Mist Spray - Emerald and on the stamp I used Kaiser craft - Orange and also the Black Soot Distress Ink.

The chippie was by Scrap FX and was just perfect because he loved riding so much. I colored it with Lindy Stamp Gang Magical - Tibetan Poppy Teal.
Remember that all these wonderful products are available through the Scrapbookit Store.

I hope you have liked my layout of my little devil wild child. He is so adorable and loving but a lot like his mum......just loves life in the fast lane and having fun hehe.

This Happened - We Won

Being sick before I went to retreat at Harrietville for Scrapbookit I got a little behind on my posts. This is for last month at Scrapbookit and I just loved the papers I got to use. For my kit from Jo I got to use Bella! Boutique Inspiration School Days Kit. It is an awesome kit for doing your school photos. It comes with all you need. Patterned papers, sticker sheet and embellishments. It's a great kit.

This is the sketch and below that my take.

Of course these two very handsome boys are my sons Riley and Harley. The minute I looked  at these papers I knew what photos I wanted to use. The washi tape was also perfect with the tape measurements on it.

The school sport flag was fussy cut from the papers. The chippies I used on the layout are by WOW and these ones were words or whatever. I colored them with Lindy's Stamp Gang Magical - Tibetan Poppy Teal......I just love this product and if you are looking for something fun to use then this would be a big + from me.

I mounted the photos on some of the patterned paper and then on some grey card stock.
The only other two extra things I used on the layout are Black Soot Distress Ink and Kaisercraft Clear Stamp - Rustic Harmony. The stamp that I used out of the set is the Our Memories one at the top. I used it to add a little more grey to the layout.

I hope you have liked my take on last months challenge. If you like the kit I have used please call to the Scrapbookit blog and check out all the wonderful products that Jo has. If you cant find something you want then just email Jo and she will help you out. Thanks again for joining me at my blog.
