Spring Glory

Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog. I would like to show you my latest DT page for
Let's Get Sketchy and this month you will find 5th Challenge and as always it comes with a sketch to follow but this time also a Mood Board. Double the fun in the one challenge.

Now for my take on the challenge.

I loved the colours of the Mood Board, they had a real Spring look to me so I chose two photos from the flowers in the garden at Mums and the patterned papers are by Pion Designs - Vintage Garden.

The only other products I used on this page were -
Kaisercrafts Alpha Stickers - Coral
Paper Doily
Distress Ink - Vintage Photo

The girl on the swing, nest, butterflies and verse were all fussy cut from the Pion Designs patterned papers. I love when the papers can be used in this way and with these papers I loved the young girl on the swing, such a spring feel to it.

Thanks as always for stopping into my blog, I hope you will call again. I love visitors. I also hope you have enjoyed my page for Lets' Get Sketchy and that you will drop into the blog and see the other wonderful pages from the rest of the design team. Make sure you join in the fun and link your submission for the challenge.

Precious

Hello and a warm welcome to my blog as always. Today I would like to share with you a page I have created for the challenge over at the Dusty Attic Blog. I have started to slowly get back into doing some challenges and I'm really enjoying it along with my DT work.
This challenge really caught my eye, I loved the colours and I had a photo in mind I just needed to go through my pics till I found it. It's a photo I had of my girlfriend Melissa's daughter Meghan.
This is the May Mood Board that I got to work with and along with choosing the colour, female and flowers from it for my inspiration the other requirement was to use Dusty Attic Chippies.

Now for my take on the Mood Board

The dusty Attic Chippies I chose to use are -
ATC Frame #1 - DA0691
Elegant Swirls #13 - DA11332
Baby Words #1 - DA1230
Vintage clock  #2 - DA0262

I also chose to use some Dusty Attic Flowers - Dusty in Bloom- Bridal Veil - DA0805. I coloured these lightly with some Distress IInk - Spun Sugar.

White Cardstock
The other products I used on my page are -
Patterned Papers - Kaisercraft Cottage Rose Collection
Modeling Paste

Love

Hello crafty friends and as always welcome to my blog. My page I have created to show you today is for the challenge over at Scrapbookit. The challenge was "Things With Wings". As soon as I looked at the challenge for this month I knew just what I wanted to do, I got the camera out and snapped this photo I have used.

I have many bird photos I could have used but I couldn't get this statue out of my mind. I knew I had to do it and my head kept saying find those Pion Design papers, I'm sure they have doves on them.
Found and they did - perfect.

This statue is so special to me. I received many things of special value when my mum passed away. Cards, messages, tress, shrubs, flowers and this statue. It holds a special beauty that warms my heart the same as my tree and shrub as I watch them grow.

This is what I was going to write on the page but as I created I decided to write my mum a little letter.

If only I could send a letter to heaven Mum,
I would send it filled with love
on the wings of a dove.

Patterned papers - Pion Design - Paris Flea Market
Word Chippie - Scrapmatts
Flowers - Petaloo
Distress Ink - Vintage Photo

As you can see by the list above I have not used a lot of products, this is due to the fact that I used the papers by fussy cutting. I have fussy cut the outside boarder and placed it on the beautiful blue patterned paper. I love this blue as it reminded me of mums eyes. Her eyes are so blue, so beautiful.

Thank you so much for stopping in and having a look at my page. I hope I have been able to inspire you just a little that if you don't fussy cut to have a go. It's a great way to utilize beautiful papers such as these. Happy crafting.  xxx

"I know you have always loved my work mum and I hope you love this page too. Missing you every single day. I so wish a dove could take my letter to you or that heaven had visiting hours. The boys and I have an empty place in our hearts that only you could fill. Our lives will never be the same without you. We love you mum."

Totally Awesome - 100% Loveable

Hello crafty friends and welcome, today I would like to share with you my latest DT post for
Let's Get Sketchy and we have another great sketch for you to create with.

The very handsome young man is my youngest son Harley and boy is this kid growing fast. This photo was taken at the Ballarat Gardens earlier this year and it is one I just love of him.

The patterned papers I used for this page are by Kaisercraft - Off The Wall Collection and I also used the Sticker sheet from this collection.

I have inked the edges of the patterned paper with Archival Ink - Jet Black then using my black journal pen I have made some stitching around the edges.

My background stamp is by Kaisercraft - Bubble wrap and I also used the Jet Black ink on this too.

My 100% Loveable chippie is by Scrap Fx and it has been inked with the Jet Black ink.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my page and that I have been able to inspire you just a little to hop on over to Let's Get Sketchy and get a little bit more inspiration from the rest of the design team. I would love to see your work on the blog like and maybe you might be a winner.

"Rose Quartz" Collection Cards

Hello crafty friends and welcome to  my blog and post for Meg's Garden. I would like to share with you some cards and tags I have made using the beautiful Rose Quarts Collection. I just love this collection, beautiful soft pink colours with white. First I will share with you one of the cards.

As you all know I love to fussy cut and these gorgeous papers are wonderful for that. On each of my cads and tags today you will find fussy cutting.
The elegance of this beautiful period lady is stunning. On the papers you will find different sizes and I love that for fussy cutting. On the edges of my cards I used some Distress Ink and for my center strip I used a punch then inked the edges followed by Liquid Pearls after it was placed on the card. My happy birthday is a WOW Chippie and I used Gesso on it. Over the beautiful Antique Cream Lace I place a Vintage Bronze Tone Trinket. Over the trinket I place the center of a Viola pale pink flower. The flowers I placed beside the card in the photo are some from the posy of Violas.

This is my second card and the rose center of the card has been fussy cut from the papers and you can see it in the picture of the 12 x 12 sheet above. A lot of my fussy cutting has been done from this sheet above (on the right) for the cards and tags. I love papers where you can use them in different ways to help embellish your papers. I always look beyond placing them just as tags etc.

On this card I have used the same ink for my papers and this time I decided to cut the patterned papers into triangles and I distressed the inside edges before inking them. Once I placed them I the card I used a brown journal pen to make stitching on each one. My Happy Birthday is again a WOW chippie and I coloured it with a pink Copic and then added a little Kindy Glitz. The beautiful paper flowers I have added are from the stunning Fantasy Blooms flower packs and you will see these on a lot of my work. They are great and come in 11 different colours. On these I placed a little Kindy Glitz as well. When making this card I was thinking about my mum. I know she would love this one and that is why I added the Kindy Glitz to the flowers. They didn't need it but I knew that mum would like it so on it went.

It is now time for my tags. I have made large tags so they can double in place of a card where you can write a birthday message on the back if you want.

I used a cream lace to create my bow an the top of the tag and also placed a strip of it down the tag. It has an awesome vintage look when placed with these papers. Across the bottom I used a Kaiser wooden flourish and I used Gesso on it the same as the Happy Birthday and then I sponged some of the Distress Ink over it, only very lightly.

Now for my final tag and like the cards and the other tag I have also fussy cut on this one.
The rose scroll at the top, three period ladies and the bottom and the posy of flowers and leaves have all been fussy cut. The Wooden flourish at the bottom and the bird cage have all been coloured with a pink Copic. I have used a strip of the beautiful Antique Cream Lace down the side. I just love the way this lace with these papers gives it a real vintage feel. On the birdcage I placed a small and very cute Brass Butterfly. At the top I used a wine white ribbon which I tied in a double bow. At the bottom I used two of the Velvet Viola Flowers Pink from the posy.
I hope you have enjoyed popping in and having a look at my cards and tags. I also hope that I have been able to inspire you with my creations and maybe into some fussy cutting, one of my passions.
Until my next post may your mojo flow and I look forward to seeing you again.

Cards

Hello and welcome as always to my blog. Today I would like to show you some Design Cards I have created for Treasures Forever. The cards have been created with G45 papers and each one has fussy cutting. I have created them with the fussy cutting for two reasons - 1. I just love to fussy cut as yo would probably know and 2. I wanted to show you how versatile the G45 papers are. Roz has a lot of G45 papers to choose from and this is just a sample of them.

I hope you like them and in a few more days I may have a couple more to share with you.
Please call into the facebook page and leave Roz a message if there is something you would like.
Until my next post - Happy Crafting xxx
